I was gonna say something but then my phone began to vibrate

I went to grab some water out of the fridge

She handed me my phone

My phone rang again ugh want would he want right now

"She must really need your attention" Mariah said dying laughing

I looked at the caller id

"Girl I'm a whole comedian," she said laughing

"Now stop talking to me and see what she wants," she said rushing me 

Hey Chris I put her on speaker

"Hey, Nina" she said in her sexy deep voice 

I missed hearing her voice 

The voice that made me weak in certain places 

She apologized for the other Saturday and then asked if Braxton wanted to go out for ice cream later tonight

I debated whether or not I should do it until I looked up at Mariah

I hung up the phone and smiled

" So proud of you girl now go get your man" Mariah said

First of all she's not "my man" Mariah and were just hanging out as friends nothing more nothing less

"Whatever say girl but at least tell me what you gonna wear" she asked

I went to my closet pulled out want i wanted to wear

"5:15" she said

Oh shi I got to get ready 

"Alright girl have fun and just relax," Mariah said

I took a good 20-minute shower

Put on lotion, deodorant, and my favorite perfume

 I got dressed 

Gave Braxton a quick bath and got him in his clothes

Checked myself out in the mirror one more time to make sure I looked good 

She texted me that she was outside I grabbed Braxton and his booster seat turned off the kitchen lights and walked outside and locked the front door.

I took a few deep breaths and walked to her car I saw her in her car spraying on cologne  

I waved to her she climbed out and came and gave me a side hug because I was carrying Braxton

Once we pulled back Braxton wrapped his hands around her neck Braxton hands I said

"He's not hurting me" she smiled

"May I" she asked and I gave her Braxton while his hands still wrapped around I gave her to him and he kept embracing her like she was an old friend 

It made me smile

"Hey man I missed you" she said

He giggled

"Wow by that sound I'm assuming the speech therapy is working out well for you guys" she said happily

"No problem" she said we stood there in an awkward silence until she broke it 

"So lets go ahead and get going I can help you with the booster seat if you need it" she said

She gave Braxton back to me put the booster seat in fast like she's done this before

She buckled him in

She opened the passenger door for me and I was greeted by more roses 

Thank You I said smiling

She put on her seat belt and pulled out of the drive way.
