So it's a double update 🌚🎉❤️When Fatima woke up, she found Sauraniya beside her. "Mama?" she called out weakly. Sauraniya looked at her with a warm smile before speaking, "Kin tashi? Sannu, ya jiki?" Fatima replied softly, "Alhamdulillah." Silence hung in the air for a moment before Fatima asked, "What about Muhammad?"
Sarauniya remained silent for a moment before saying, "He is in Maiduguri."
Fatima's voice trembled as she asked, "How is he? The bullet? He left without seeing me?"
Sarauniya smiled gently, "He was busy and had to let you rest. We'll be leaving for Maiduguri tomorrow."
Fatima nodded, though she wasn't entirely convinced by Sarauniya's words.
The next morning, Fatima was discharged, and she and Sarauniya made their way to the convoy, setting off for Maiduguri.
The journey was a silent one, but they soon arrived in Maiduguri. As they stepped out of the vehicle, they were warmly welcomed by the maids and servants.
They both went to Sarauniya's chamber, where they were served food. After eating, they settled down to talk.
"Mama?" Fatima called out, her voice tinged with worry. "Where is Muhammad? He hasn't called me. You said he was in Maiduguri, and we're in Maiduguri. Where is he?"
Sarauniya sighed and asked Fatima to follow her. They both made their way to another room within Sarauniya's chamber.
When they entered the room, Fatima saw Muhammad lying on the bed with a doctor changing his drip. Tears welled up in her eyes as she turned to Sarauniya. "I thought you said he got better. Why is he in bed? What has happened to him?"
Sarauniya replied softly, "Pneumothorax."
"Pneu-what?" Fatima asked, her voice trembling.
"Pneumothorax," Sarauniya repeated before turning to the doctor. "Please, explain to her what happened after Muhammad got shot and how he developed pneumothorax."
The doctor nodded and began to explain, "After Muhammad was shot in the chest, the bullet caused a lung injury. Pneumothorax occurs when air leaks into the space between the lung and the chest wall, causing the lung to collapse. This can be very serious and requires immediate medical attention. We've been treating him to re-expand his lung and ensure he recovers fully."
"When will he wake up?" Fatima asked anxiously.
The doctor replied, "It could be in a month or so, but it depends on his speed of recovery."
Fatima nodded, absorbing the information, before the doctor and Sarauniya left the room to allow her some time alone with Muhammad.
She approached the bed and sat beside Muhammad, gently placing a kiss on his forehead and then on his lips. In the softest, almost inaudible whisper, she muttered, "I love you."
"I love you," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Please wake up. My soul needs your presence, my essence needs your existence. I need you."
"Please come back," she pleaded through tears, her voice choked with emotion. "We still have a life to live. I haven't told you how I feel, you haven't kissed my forehead enough. I need you to be here when I bag that degree. I need you more than ever. We haven't even spent enough time together."
"Please, for me," she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks. Exhausted, she eventually fell asleep. When she woke up, the room was dim with the light of Maghrib. After performing ablution, she searched for a prayer mat and poured her heart out to Allah, praying earnestly for Muhammad, herself, and the entire ummah. Then, she returned to Muhammad's side, finding comfort in his presence despite his unconsciousness.
The next morning, when Fatima woke up and entered the parlor, she found food and her clothing neatly laid out. A smile graced her lips, knowing it was Sarauniya's thoughtful gesture. She returned to her chamber, took a refreshing bath, and then sat down to enjoy the meal.
As she sat, memories of moments with her umma flooded Fatima's mind, and a deep longing for her swept over her. She hadn't seen her since getting married. Fatima decided to ask Sarauniya for permission to visit her family.

As Fatima entered Amina's house, a wave of nostalgia washed over her. Immediately upon stepping inside, she heard her umma's voice, and it sounded like she was scolding Amina. "Now what did Mino do this time?" Fatima wondered aloud, a smile tugging at her lips at the familiar scene.
She dashed into the house and threw herself onto umma, squealing and giggling with delight . "Umma!" she screamed, giggling as she embraced her mother tightly. Umma hugged Fatima back, her eyes filled with warmth. "Fatu na, yau kene a gidan namu?" she asked, her voice filled with affection. Fatima nodded eagerly before blurting out, "I missed you so much."
She chatted with umma for a while, catching up on news and sharing stories. Then, curious about Mino, Fatima asked umma where she was. "Upstairs," umma replied with a smile. Excitedly, Fatima dashed upstairs to find her friend.
As she entered, Fatima saw Amina reading and made a playful hissing sound before gently knocking her on the head. "Idiot, you don't even miss me," she teased, her voice filled with affection. "Tunda natafi sau daya kika kirani."
Amina glared at her. "Why did you knock me? Can't you see I'm reading? Oh, yau kika tuna dani. I thought mijinki kadai kika sani," she retorted, her tone teasing but held accusations.
Fatima said, "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. But I'm back now, and I'll make sure we have fun today." She then urged Amina, "Now, get up and get ready."
They both donned matching maroon kimonos and headed to Sehar Mall. Their first stop was the perfume section, where they bought Arabian oud. Next, they visited the clothing section, purchasing some abayas and fabrics. Afterward, they enjoyed a meal together before leaving the mall.
They decided to stop at an ice cream parlor for a treat. After enjoying their ice cream, they drove back home, feeling satisfied and happy from their day out.
Fatima had already informed Sarauniya about staying overnight. She and Mino changed into their nightclothes and settled into bed. Fatima then recounted everything that had happened. By the time she finished, Amina's mouth was hanging open in shock.
"So you're only telling me now? Wow," Amina exclaimed.
Fatima apologized, saying, "There was nothing I could do."
With that, they bid each other good night and drifted off to sleep.
