Mai Martaba replied, "Junaid made sure he's rotting in jail. Besides, the Chinese government won't let him go unscathed."
"But you know the brutality of those people," Muhammad said, his voice filled with concern. "I thought you'd bring him back. There's a possibility of him losing his life. Why?"
"And you know the situation at hand," Muhammad continued, his voice firm. "You can't let him lose his life. Everything would be at risk. My wife will be at risk, and her safety is something I'm not ready to trade."
Mai Martaba sighed and replied, "I had no choice. Bringing him back to Nigeria was not an option. Your life would be at risk, and it's better he stays there. That way, he won't get to you or Fatima."
"But Baba, leaving Nasir there will definitely endanger his life," Muhammad insisted. "Fadeel is still on the loose. I just hope this doesn't turn on us."
"But Baba, leaving Nasir there will definitely endanger his life," Muhammad insisted. "Fadeel is still on the loose. I just hope this doesn't turn on us."
He nodded before leaving Mai Martaba's chamber, a sense of unease still lingering in his mind.
When Muhammad returned to the chamber, he instructed her to get dressed as they would be going out.
He told her to dress casually, and she complied, opting for a simple yet elegant dress. It was a flowy, knee-length sundress in a soft pastel color, adorned with delicate floral patterns. She paired it with comfortable sandals and minimal jewelry, allowing her natural beauty to shine through.
This time, it was Muhammad who drove, his expression giving nothing away as Fatima questioned him about their destination. However, he remained silent, keeping his plans a mystery.
He took them to an archery field, and when Fatima asked where they were, he simply replied that he had made a stop here for something special.
He led her inside the archery field, where rows of targets were set up at various distances.
The air was filled with the sound of arrows flying through the air and hitting their marks, creating a sense of excitement and anticipation.
The field was surrounded by lush greenery, adding to the serene atmosphere of the outdoor setting.
She asked him if he was going to practice, but he replied with a no before saying, "We."
"What?" she asked, looking horrified. "No, I can't. I won't."
"Yes, you can, and definitely, you will," he insisted before gently pulling her along. They were given a bow and arrow each before moving to where the targets were kept.
Fatima pleaded, "I don't know how to do this, don't make me," but he insisted, "Let me show you." He then demonstrated the proper technique, holding the bow steady and pulling back the string with precision. Despite his efforts, she shook her head, admitting she didn't understand.
