Jungkook was finally back home. His wounds were still healing, but he had improved significantly. Being the wealthy man's son, his father had a nurse and other necessities for his care.
He was watching TV in peace when there was a knock on the door.
"COME IN!"
The person peeked through the door, causing Jungkook to gasp in delight, 'Eunwoo??!' His friend chuckles as he enters the room and approaches Jungkook.
They hugged tightly, 'It's been so long! Where have you been??' Jungkook asks.
'Sorry, I was out of Seoul for some work,' Eunwoo said, breaking the hug. 'Btw, how did this happen?'
Jungkook explains the entire incident in detail. Eunwoo's eyes were bulging, 'Who the hell can do this? Is uncle looking for the culprit??'
Jungkook gives a nod, 'Yeah, dad is on it. The police are having a tough time tracking down the culprit though, that motherfucker is very clever.'
Eunwoo speaks with concern, 'But you have to be careful, do you understand? You were so close to death! It seems that God was on your side that day. But luck won't come your way every time, right?'
Jungkook flashes a smug smile, 'I am always going to be lucky.' Eunwoo laughs, 'Once a dumbfuck, always a dumbfuck.'
Jungkook gives a snort, 'Anyway, enough about me! Tell me, how have you been? How is Aera? When are you guys getting married??' He happily flashed his teeth.
But Euwoo's face fell off the moment he heard her name. Jungkook frowns worriedly, 'Is everything alright between you two?'
Euwoo smiles sadly, 'She is happy... with someone else.' Jungkook's heart sank upon hearing his last words.
Aera and Eunwoo have been together since school. He was shocked and heartbroken by the news, as he had watched them grow into adults together.
'What exactly happened?' Jungkook asks quietly.
'It seems like I was the only one in love. She said she had fallen out of love a long time ago, but she was afraid to tell me. and— "And?" Curiosity piques in Jungkook.
'While she was with me, she fell in love with someone else. They were together.' He let out a sigh.
'She cheated on you?' Jungkook exclaims angrily. Eunwoo gives a small nod.
