No one's pov

Jungkook stood alone in the empty conference room, the weight of the accusations pressing heavily on his shoulders. He knew he had to prove his innocence, but the path ahead seemed daunting and filled with obstacles. As he gathered his thoughts and prepared to leave, he could hear the faint murmur of voices outside the door.

The whispers grew louder as he stepped into the hallway. Colleagues who had once greeted him warmly now averted their eyes or cast suspicious glances his way. The news of the alleged betrayal had spread rapidly, and the atmosphere in the office was thick with judgment and doubt.

"Did you hear about Jungkook?" one employee murmured to another. "I can't believe he would do something like that."

"Yeah, it's shocking," another replied. "But the evidence seems pretty damning. I guess you never really know people."

Jungkook felt the sting of their words, but he kept his head down and moved towards his desk. As he passed by, a group of employees fell silent, their conversations abruptly halting. He could feel their eyes on him, assessing and condemning without knowing the full story.

Arriving at his desk, he found a note pinned to his computer monitor. The scrawled message read: "Traitors aren't welcome here." Jungkook crumpled the paper in his hand, anger and frustration boiling inside him, he felt like crying at the moment. He couldn't understand how things had spiraled out of control so quickly.

Feeling isolated, Jungkook decided to leave the office early, his mind racing with questions and fears about his innocence. As he made his way to the elevator, he received a message from Mr. Gae. "Be present at the press conference at 5:00 PM. It's crucial."

Meanwhile, in his office, Taehyung remained composed, his expression stoic as he reviewed the day's agenda. Despite the turmoil involving Jungkook, he focused on the company's immediate needs, trusting the process he had set in motion. He believed that the truth would eventually come to light, and in the meantime, he was determined to uncover the real spy within their ranks.

Taehyung dialed a number and spoke into the phone, "I’ve sent you some details. Make sure I get the results within an hour."

An hour later, Taehyung received the results, confirming his suspicions about the real culprit. "I knew it was you all along," Taehyung said coldly. "I initially thought I’d just fire you and make sure you never get a job in Korea again. But you involved my precious one in your dirty scheme. You have no right to live peacefully. Just wait and watch. You won’t escape the consequences of your actions. This is far from over.

At 4:30 PM, Jungkook reluctantly returned to the office for the press conference. The atmosphere was tense, and the stares from his colleagues were even more intense. He felt like an outcast, but he knew he had to face the situation head-on.

The conference room was filled with media personnel, company employees, and a few high-ranking officials. Taehyung stood at the front, projecting confidence and control. Jungkook noticed Mr. Gae off to the side, his expression unreadable.

As the clock struck 5:00 PM, Taehyung began the press conference. He addressed the recent allegations, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation and the need for a thorough investigation. He assured everyone that the company was committed to transparency and integrity.

"We have recently uncovered disturbing evidence suggesting a breach of trust within our organization," Taehyung began, his voice steady. "However, we believe in the principle of innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, we will conduct a comprehensive investigation to ensure that justice is served."

Mr. Gae then stepped forward, presenting the evidence against Jungkook. The photos and documents were displayed on a large screen, and the room fell silent as everyone absorbed the gravity of the accusations.

Jungkook stood at the back, his heart pounding. He wanted to speak, to defend himself, but he knew this wasn't the time. He could only hope that the truth would emerge and clear his name.

After presenting the evidence, Mr. Gae concluded, "While the evidence against Mr. Jeon is compelling, we must also consider the possibility of other factors at play. We are committed to uncovering the full truth."

Taehyung then took the stage again, his demeanor shifting to one of resolve and authority. "To demonstrate our commitment to transparency, we have continued our investigation internally and uncovered new evidence that sheds light on the true perpetrator."

He signaled to a man with a mask on, who brought forward a series of documents and video footage. The room watched in stunned silence as the footage revealed Mr. Gae meeting secretly with a representative from Lim's, handing over confidential company files.

"The real spy within our ranks is not Mr.Jeon," Taehyung declared, his voice resonating with authority. "It is Mr.Gae."

The room erupted in gasps and murmurs. Mr. Gae's face drained of color as Taehyung's gaze locked onto him.

"Mr. Gae, you have betrayed the trust of this company and attempted to frame an innocent man," Taehyung continued, his tone cold and unyielding. "Your actions have not only jeopardized our company but have also sought to ruin the career of a dedicated employee."

Taehyung paused, allowing the weight of his words to sink in. "Effective immediately, Mr. Gae, you are terminated from your position and will face legal action for your actions. We will ensure that justice is served, and your betrayal will serve as a stark warning to anyone who thinks they can undermine the integrity of this company."

Security was about to escort Mr.Gae out when Taehyung stopped them. He leaned in and whispered into Mr. Gae's ear, "Did you think this was the extent of your punishment? No, Mr. Gae, this is just the beginning. You won’t find a job, not just in Korea, but anywhere outside it either. If I don’t have you begging on the streets, my name isn’t Kim Taehyung. Security, throw him out.".

Taehyung turned to Jungkook, his expression softening. "Mr. Jeon, you have been exonerated. I apologize for the undue stress and hardship you have faced. Your suspension is lifted, and I trust you will continue to be a valuable asset to our team."

Jungkook felt a rush of relief and gratitude. He stepped forward, his voice steady despite the emotional whirlwind. "Thank you, Mr. Kim. I will continue to serve this company with loyalty and dedication."

Taehyung nodded with a faint smile "I know you will, Jungkook. Together, we will move forward stronger and more united than ever."

As the press conference concluded, the employees and media members dispersed, the truth of the matter now clear. Taehyung's decisive actions and unwavering commitment to justice had not only cleared Jungkook's name but had also set a powerful example that no one would dare to undermine the Kim's legacy in the future.

In the days that followed, the atmosphere in the office gradually returned to normal. Jungkook was welcomed back with genuine apologies and renewed respect from his colleagues. Taehyung, meanwhile, reinforced the company's security measures and continued to lead with the integrity and strength that had always defined him.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was elated and eager to express his gratitude to Taehyung but wasn't sure how. Resolving to thank him in person, he headed to Taehyung's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in," Taehyung said, his gaze still fixed on the computer screen.

"Hyungie!" Jungkook exclaimed excitedly.

"Yes, bun?" Taehyung responded.

"I'm so happy, hyungie. I want to hug you. May I?"

Taehyung chuckled at Jungkook's enthusiastic tone and eager demeanor. He nodded and was about to rise from his chair to give a proper hug, but clumsy Jungkook tripped on God knows what and landed in Taehyung's lap, his eyes squeezed shut. Taehyung’s eyes widened, and both their hearts began to race.
