Nitya's heart raced as she searched the entire office for any sign of Aniket, but he was nowhere to be found. The usually bustling workspace was eerily quiet, with only a handful of people present. She dialed his number repeatedly, each unanswered call adding to her growing sense of dread. Even his assistants were clueless about his whereabouts.
At last, she managed to catch hold of Gupta Ji, her desperation evident in her voice. "Gupta Ji, where could Aniket be?" she implored, hoping for some answers.
"Madam Ji, I left the office before sir, so I don't know where he is," Gupta Ji responded, his voice laced with concern.
Frustration and worry gnawed at her as she pressed for more information. "Then where could Aniket have gone, Gupta Ji?" she pressed, her anxiety reaching its peak.
"Madam Ji, please don't worry. I'll try something. Let me see," Gupta Ji reassured before ending the call.
With bated breath, Nitya awaited his return. When Gupta Ji finally reappeared, relief flooded her momentarily. "Madam Ji, there's an engineer in our office. I'll connect you to him," he informed her before patching her through to the IT engineer.
"Ma'am, this is Neeraj speaking. Don't worry, Gupta Ji informed me. I've traced the location of sir's car. His car has GPS, you see. I'll send you the location right away," Neeraj informed her, his voice a beacon of hope in her moment of distress.
"Thank you, Neeraj. Thank you so much," Nitya expressed her gratitude before hastily making her way to her car. With the location in hand, she sped off into the night, her determination unwavering as she embarked on a quest to find her beloved Aniket.
Following the GPS coordinates, Nitya arrived at a desolate location behind a mill, her heart pounding in her chest as she spotted Aniket's car.
"Aniket's car... Aniket!" she cried out, her voice echoing in the empty space as she frantically searched for him.
With each step, fear gripped her tighter, urging her to move faster. Suddenly, her eyes fell upon a group of menacing figures surrounding Aniket.
"Aniket!" she screamed, her voice laced with terror, but before she could reach him, they grabbed her too.
"Nitya... Why did you come here? Go away from here!" Aniket's voice was filled with anguish, but his words were cut short as the men began to pummel him mercilessly.
Tears streamed down Nitya's face as she watched in horror, her pleas falling on deaf ears amidst the chaos.
"Aniket... Leave him alone! Aniket!" she cried out desperately, her voice breaking with each syllable.
The wail of approaching police sirens shattered the tense silence, prompting the assailants to release Aniket and flee into the shadows.
With trembling hands, Nitya rushed to Aniket's side, cradling his head in her lap. He was barely conscious, his breaths coming in ragged gasps, blood staining his clothes.
"Aniket, hold on... Everything will be alright... I'm here with you," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion as she tried to comfort him.
Within moments, the blare of an ambulance pierced the night air, and Nitya helped the paramedics load Aniket inside, clinging to his hand as they raced towards the hospital.
As they sped through the streets, Nitya repeated her assurances, her heart heavy with fear yet filled with an unwavering determination to see Aniket through this ordeal.
In the hospital, Nitya refused to leave Aniket's side, her tears flowing incessantly as she clutched his hand with a fierce determination. Even as medical staff rushed him into the ICU on a stretcher, she was reluctant to let go, her grip only loosening when gently urged to do so by the nurses.
