•••Jay's POV•••

She's so beautiful. She was sleeping so peacefully. It was one in the morning. I couldn't sleep. It's been a week since I've gotten to see her again and yet I feel so distant from her touch. Her hair with all its waves so perfectly beautiful.

I feel guilty for all the trouble there's been. The first full day of me being with her I tell her of Samuel's death only for her to some how convince me to sleep with her. I still wonder if she meant it. I mean she must feel so torn. Maybe the grief took over and she needed to get it off her mind.

Then as I'm still there in my thoughts staring at her I realize she's staring back at me, grinning like never before.

"Good morning Sugar,"I say trying to stay cool like I knew she was awake.

"Nice of you to notice my awakening,"she says as her grin grows to a full smile.

"I noticed earlier,"I say backing up my side of the story.

"What ever,"she says.

She then scoots so close to my face that there's only a sliver of air in between our lips. She sits there. Not moving another inch. I don't move. I sit there and so does she. We both sit there on the verge of kissing, in silence.

I moan a little because damn she's so hot when she teases.

"I know you want me,"she says in a sexy tone.

I slightly nod so I don't ruin the moment.

"Then come get me,"she said moving away.

I grab her arm before she can get up and pull her back to me and kiss her passionately. She was not shocked. She knew I would do it. That's why she was acting like she didn't want me, it made me want her more.

"Excuse me,"a familiar voice from the room door said.

We stop kissing and I look over and see Cara in the doorway staring at me and Ava. Ava on top of me.

"Yes Cara?"I ask.

"Just wanted you to know that Tulip is coming for dinner,"She said.

"Tulip?"I asked.

I couldn't believe she was going to show so soon. I expected more time considering the war that happened.

"Yes, Tulip,"she said,"I'll leave you two now."

After that she shut the door and left. I turned to look at Ava knowing she was going to ask questions.

"Who's Tulip?"she asked right on cue.

"No one important,"I say as she gets off me.

"Bullshit!"she said,"tell me now."

"She's the council leader and my,"I say pausing for a minute,"my mother."
