The morning sun filtered through the blinds, casting long shadows across my room. I spent no time getting ready and having my breakfast before leaving for work.

Arriving at the office, I found Rajiv waiting by my desk, his usual punctual self. "Good morning, sir," he greeted, a folder tucked under his arm.

"Morning, Rajiv," I replied, taking a seat and removing my blazer. "Any updates?"

"Ms. Akriti confirmed the meeting for 11 a.m." He said, handing over the folder to be. "These are the revised proposals she sent over last night."

Last night?

She is damn fast!

I took the folder, scanning through the contents. Her suggestions were indeed bold, but there was a practicality woven through them that I hadn't noticed before. It seemed she had taken my concerns to heart.

"Thank you, Rajiv. I'll go through these before the meeting."

He nodded, retreating to his desk. I immersed myself in the proposals, noting the subtle adjustments and cost-effective solutions she had integrated. She had found a way to balance innovation with practicality, just as I had hoped.

At 11 a.m. sharp, Akriti walked into my office, a confident yet cautious smile on her face. Seeing her again sent a jolt through me, a reminder of the emotions I was trying to keep at bay.

Get a grip Shlok!

"Good morning, Mr. Shah." She greeted, her voice steady.

"Good morning, Ms. Goyal." I replied, gesturing for her to sit. "I went through your revised proposals. They're impressive."

A hint of relief washed over her features. "Thank you. I tried to incorporate your feedback without compromising the vision."

"I noticed," I said, leaning forward. "You've struck a good balance. I think we can work with this."

Her eyes lit up with a mix of surprise and gratitude. "I'm glad to hear that."

We delved into the details, discussing each aspect of the project with a renewed sense of collaboration. The tension from yesterday seemed to dissolve, replaced by a shared determination to make this project a success.

As we wrapped up, I felt a sense of accomplishment. "Ms Goyal, thank you for your hard work on this. I believe we're on the right track for now."

She smiled, genuine warmth radiating from her. She shook her head in a silent approval. "Thank you, Mr Shah. I'm excited to see the project accomplished."

"Me too," I replied, standing up as she gathered her things. "Let's schedule another meeting for next week to finalize the plans?"

"Absolutely." She agreed. "I'll send over a few more details in the meantime."
