Someone said that in the previous chapter I made jokes too often, and I was deeply annoyed!!

Reader (in a low, slow voice, slightly alarmed to be addressed): The jokes were all together in one place and one followed the other and they were three in a row and then you didn't talk for the rest of the chapter and I thought the jokes were unevenly spread throughout the chapter and...
(Reader closes the book)

And what? Hey, you didn't finish the sentence! Anyway, this is very unfair towards me. You have to decide whether or not you want me in this story because I'm getting confused!

Another reader: We don't want you in this story!

Well, I was planning to tell you about the exciting events of the afternoon but as I will be busy crying somewhere, read the next chapter without me. (Narrator exits)

Readers crying: Wait! No! Don't go! We want you!

I'm not here, the argument is closed!
