July 3rd, 1985
"Two Whoppers, extra ketchup, large fry, pack of Marlboro reds and one Extra-large.. slurpee" Hopper listed as Alexei was watching a Looney toons cartoon, including the roadrunner in the television. The eager man leaned in comfortably as Gloria was sitting next to him as well, Joyce on the other side of the other couch, stares as Hopper sits down.
The cute man next to Gloria adds something as his neck apron.
"Burger King is nowhere near the 7-11 by the way" Hopper comments.
"Never said it was" Murray smiles.
"Let's try this again... Joyce!" Hopper calls.
"Alexei" Joyce said as the man himself was biting the hamburger.
"The generators, what are they powering?" She asks with a soft look, her hands gestured to explain.
"And tell him that we know it is not the Starcourt Mall, so he can stop selling us that crap" Hopper said to Murray. Murray soon speaks to Alexei, translating what they were asking the russian scientist drinks on the slurpee he began to taste. Then....
for a second he spits.
He furrows his face like a disappointed face as he speaks some kind of comment. Gloria stares in confusion thinking maybe there was something wrong, something... does he hate the drink??
"What'd he say?" Hopper asked.
"He says.. it's strawberry," Murray said with a sarcastic smile.
"I'm sorry?" he asks,
"His.. slurpee" Murray said as he pointed at the drink, then he put his fingers together after he looked expressionless. Alexei was wiping his mouth with a tower before he threw it on his lap while Gloria glanced at him, then Murray.
Hopper stares, then he shrugs a little. "So what?"
"Hop, he did ask for cherry. I mean-" Joyce chuckled as she looked at him. Gloria was going to say something before Hopper said-
"Well, they didn't have cherry. They didn't have it" He said as he looked at Joyce.
"And it doesn't matter, because it all tastes the same, okay?" Hopper said as he held his almost finished hamburger. "It is /sugar on ice./ You tell him that."
"Tell him what?" Murray asked
"You tell him that it all tastes the goddamn same!" he said, with clenched teeth.. Jesus, he sounds angry. Anxiety rushed through Gloria when she noticed him being mad.. He's always intimidating of a chief Officer.. Murray smiled a bit before he turns to Alexei to translate this for him. Alexei tells him in his language before he stares at Hopper.
"He respectfully disagrees" Murray said, translating to them "It's not the same at all and he would like.. cherry"
Alexei chuckles as he watches the roadrunner fight on a crow character with a hammer. It seems that he was having fun watching the looney toons.
"Oh yeah? You tell him... he can forget it" Hopper glares. Murray, with a resting bitch-face, turns to Alexei to translate. Alexei looks at the chief officer himself before he speaks to Murray, then he laughs when the roadrunner tries to stab the crow character with a sword.
