Hearing the door to their room open—Essence walked out the bathroom. Her eyes landed on Bryheim. "Good morning." She weakly smiled.

"Good morning baby." Bryheim walked over to her and pulled her into him. He kissed her forehead.

"Can we talk?" Essence looked up into his eyes.

Bryheim nodded his head and the two of them went to sit on the couch in the corner. Bryheim leaned back while Essence sat next to him instead of straddling his lap like she normally did whenever they "talked". Essence nervously fiddled with her fingers while staring down at the ground.

"What's going on between you and Diamond?" Essence blurted. "I seen her texting your phone these past couple of weeks and I haven't opened any of the messages but I noticed that the messages have been coming through frequently. I don't want to believe you're cheating on me but something is going on Bry and please don't lie to me. Me and you are better than that so please just be honest."

Essence looked up from the ground and over at him. She noticed Bryheim was already staring at her.

"I'm not cheating on you." Bryheim sighed. "But me and Diamond have been in contact with each other and we've been growing close how we use to be." He admitted. "It started with me reaching out to see if she ever got pregnant by me because I noticed no matter how much I nut in you, you weren't getting pregnant so I wanted to know if it was me. If I was the reason you weren't getting pregnant. I've been knowing how much you wanted a baby and I wanted to fulfill that for you. I wanted to give you that so I needed to know." He expressed.

"—in the midst of that our conversations started to go beyond asking about pregnancy. We started to catch up and I'm not going to lie to you, I have started to feel something again which is why I fell back from talking to her and seeing her. I haven't cheated on you by sleeping with her or anything. I would never do that to you but I can say that I have gotten emotionally involved with her again and even though that's worse than physically cheating, I don't wanna' lose you bean. I don't." He frowned.

Essence just listened while she felt herself starting to tear up. Taking her eyes off him—she stood up and wiped at her tears. She had no words. Nothing to say in this moment. She was hurt of course but she couldn't bring herself to be angry with him. She couldn't bring herself to lash out like the old her would've or yell and scream. She just wanted to cry.

"Essence say something for me mama. Please." Bryheim said standing up. He knew when she went quiet like this, her mind was going and he hated that.

Wiping her face again, she turned around to him. "I just need the day to think. . I just need to be by myself." She said before walking to the door and leaving despite Bryheim calling her name.
