Aakansha Rathore
We all are in Udaipur sitting in Rathore Mansion’s living room choosing the clothes for my engagement We decided to do the engagement in Udaipur privately we didn’t wanted any media involvement in it we would announce our relation when we would get married both the families agreed on it.
Everyone was eventually pretty happy its last time I am giving it a chance please make it work bhagwan ji.
“Aakansha!” Badi maa voice brought me back to the earth.
“Huh?”
“Where are you lost?”
“Nowhere badi maa”
“Aree hamare Jija ji ke khayal me khoyi hogi chachi” I heard Shewta’s irritating voice from the entrance.
[She must have been lost in the thoughts of our brother in law]
“Aa gayi musibat” I whispered to myself but badi maa heard it and slapped my arm.
[Here the problem comes]
“Mimi!” Shivani shouted and came and sat on my lap.
“How are you munchkin?” I kissed her forehead and hugged her.
“I am so so good” She stretched her arms showing me how much good she is making us smile.
“So rude Aaku everything for my daughter nothing for your best friend” Shewta pouted and I swear she was just looking like a pig.
“I invited you because of Shivani, otherwise I wouldn't even have sent you an invitation” I said while my attention was still on Shivani.
“Namaste aunties, Hello Aakansha, Shivangi, Pakhi bhabhi” Rishivk came inside and we all greeted him back with a smile.
“If you enter another's house you should greet the people first rather than throwing random comments” I taunted while looking at Shewta.
“Haha Shewta dii ki toh aate hi insult ho gayi” Aarav came there from the garden area as all the mens are in the garden area he got quiet after seeing Shewta glaring at him.
“Haha very funny” She sat beside me making all of us chuckle. Aarav and Rishivk went outsideand we all again got busy selecting the dresses.
Only gasps and cheering would be heard as I came out after wearing the dress which I selected for engagement. Badi maa came and twirled her hands above my head to keep the evil eye away.
My maa also came and patted my cheeks. It felt good, maybe it was fake but still there is something rather than nothing. I smiled at them and all my family was complimenting me.
I was sitting in my room in search of peace but where Shewta, Avinash and my siblings exist I would never find peace there.
“Only one question” Shewta showed me her index finger.
“You have been saying this for the last hour” I replied.
“This time pakka last” Aarav insisted.
“Speak”
“Aisi kon si cheez hai jo tune jija ji me dekhi aur haa kar di” Avinash asked.
[What’s the thing you saw in our brother in law and said yes]
I just gave them all a blank stare. They gulped and slowly got up from my bed and quickly left the room. I closed my eyes and sighed in relief that they were not coming to eat my brain till engagement. I opened my eyes as I heard creaking voice on door getting opened I smiled as I saw Shivani there.
“Mimi how did you said yes to the marriage”
“Shewta!!” I shouted as I heard her Shivani ran from here I also ran behind her to the real culprit.
It was midnight I was walking towards my room after taking a water bottle from the kitchen. I saw bhai coming into the kitchen.
“What are you doing here at this time?” He asked me I showed him the bottle and he nodded.
“Hot chocolate piyegi?”
“Jarur” Like who would deny hot chocolate made by him not me though after the hot chocolate was done we took our glass and went out to sit on a swing.
“You are really happy na?”
“Yes bhai I am, don't worry much”.
“Hm tera kya jata hai bolne mein bada bhai hu na chinta to hogi”.
[I am your elder brother I will be worried]
“Yeah I can’t even change that”.
“If you face a problem just kill him I will handle the rest”.
“Yeah sure” I laughed.
“On a serious note Gudiya if something goes wrong this time your brother will really handle it I promise”.
“I know you will” I hugged him.
Abhimanyu Rajput
“Abhi!” Maa shouted for the fifth time today. I closed my laptop and went downstairs.
“What is it now?” I asked looking at maa everyone was sitting on the couch sipping tea laughing at what god knows.
“Come here” She called me near her and made me sit beside her.
“How’s it?” She showed me a photo of sherwani which I guess was for my engagement.
“Hmm its nice”
“Okay so done Abhimanyu is wearing this sherwani” bhabhi declared.
“C’mon we still have so much work to do” Saying this Maa, Bhabhi and Trisha went from there bhai came and sat beside me.
“You are sure about this right?” He put his hand around my shoulder.
“About what?”
“The engagement”
“Of course bhai” He still kept staring at me.
“Bada bhai hu tera tu jo karne ki soch raha hai kar but ye soch ke ki kisiko hurt na ho” He patted my back and went from there.
[I am your elder brother whatever you are thinking to do do it but keep one thing your mind don’t hurt anyone]
I was in my thoughts as bhai left and suddenly my phone rang.
“Hello, any update………..hmm………. Good”
I hang up the call bhai whatever I am doing is for finding our papa’s murderer seeking justice for papa.
