DISCLAIMER: this is the first story I've ever written on wattpad and now that I'm looking back at it, I'm realizing it is extremely cringy and cheesy so I apologize in advance. Also, sorry for any grammatical error.

Addison POV:
"ADDISON! WAKE UP! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS YOUR FLIGHT!" my mom screams from downstairs.
"5 MORE MINUTES MOM." I yell back.
"I MADE YOUR FAVORITE BREAKFAST SO HURRY UP BEFORE I EAT IT." she shouts.
"FINE. I'M GETTING UP."
I sigh in annoyance and curl up into my sheets, debating whether I should get my lazy ass up or enjoy the comfort that my bed provides. I'm definitely not a morning person, therefore detaching myself from my blanket proves harder than expected- it's an everyday struggle.
After cuddling with my snug pillow for nearly ten minutes, I laboriously motivate every inch of my body to move and reluctantly jump out of my bed. Still adjusting my vision to the blindingly sunlight that's aggressively seeping through the window's curtain, I make my way towards the bathroom like a groggy zombie. Not paying attention to where I stumble, I accidentally hit my forehead against the wall. Ugh, I hate mornings.
As soon as I cleaned my face and brushed my teeth, I unplug my phone from its charging spot then head to the kitchen. An exquisite odor of mom's cooking deliciously wafts through the air, tickling my nose in a pleasant way and almost making me drool. Breakfast is probably the only reason why I woke up in the first place.
"Good morning hun." my mom greets, placing a plate and a glass of milk on the table.
"Good morning." I retort, my gaze targeted on the plate full of pancakes.
I sat down at the table and grabbed the whipped cream bottle, stuffing a great amount of it inside my mouth.
"Hey, take a look at the brochure of Jurassic World. There are tons of attractions! I've heard they even created a genetically modified hybrid! You won't get bored there for sure." my mother tells me, showing me the leaflet in her hands.
"Yeah, I know. But it would be better if we were all going like a real family." I mutter, disappointed that my parents aren't accompanying me.
"We've already talked about that. Your father and I are pretty busy with our jobs. We can't cancel our business trip. At least you won't be staying home alone for one full week. It will be fun." she replies, flashing a warmhearted smile.
I simply nod. I guess it doesn't really matter if I'm going alone to Jurassic World. After all, it is one of the best vacation spots, according to the website. I've always had a strong interest for dinosaurs anyway, so I suppose this trip will be a fun experience.
Finishing my scrumptious breakfast, I wash my dishes then hop in the shower. Whereas the cold water runs on my back and refreshes me up from the summer's sweltering heat, I try to picture in my head how a week at Jurassic World would be.
A few minutes a later, I step out of the bathroom and wrap a towel around my body. I then proceed on getting ready for the day.
Since I'll be sitting on an uncomfortable plane seat for hours, I decide to wear a casual outfit. Rummaging inside my messy closet, I put on a neon yellow tank top with yoga pants and black flats. All dressed up, I blow dry my wet curly hair and throw them in a high ponytail. Noticing I still have a bit of spare time to kill, I turn on the television and zap through the channels.
"ADDISON! IT'S TIME TO GO!"
I quickly grab my overpacked suitcase and my phone, and I join my parents in the car outside. Once we arrive at the airport, my mom hands me the plane ticket.
"Take care sweetie. If there's anything, call us." my mom speaks.
"Stay safe and have fun!" my dad adds cheerfully.
"I will, don't worry." I grin at both of them.
"The boarding to Isla Nublar in Costa Rica is ready to embark. Please present yourself at the gate A-29." a woman declares through the intercom.
Realizing that's my flight, I extend my arms and engulf my parents into a huge goodbye hug. Pulling away from their embrace, I walk towards the specified location and wave at them one last time.
An eternity later, the plane finally takes off. Thankfully, I got a seat next to the window, away from anyone who could possibly invade my personal space and by that I mean obnoxious kids running through the aisle or random strangers trying to start a conversation with me.
Pushing the negative thoughts out of my mind, I unlock my phone and check the text message I just received from my best friend Sierra.
Sierra: hey! I know today is the day u leave so I just wanted to say have fun!! I wont see u for one whole week, I'll miss u :( anyways I love u and call me when u get there
Me: ikr 7 days without seeing u, will I survive? I will try to not forget to call u though, I love u too x
Sierra: dont worry, WE will survive. and u better not forget! have a safe flight x

Putting on my earphones, I play the song Kings and Queens by SoMo and let my mind wander off.
After a couple of hours doing absolutely nothing productive, a hostess passes by and doles out meals and drinks to every passenger. Thanking the stewardess, I relish my lunch which consists of chicken and rice before falling asleep.
"The plane will soon land, please buckle up your seat-belts." a voice announces through a speaker, waking me up from my slumber.
Within a few minutes, I finally reached my destination.
Exiting the airplane, I trail behind the swarm of tourists as they embark on a massive ship that will be directly delivering us to the island. Climbing into the Ferry, I slip through the rowdy crowd and find myself a spot where I can enjoy the scenery before my eyes.

Hello! This is my first story so sorry if it's bad. Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed the first chapter. This story is obviously based on the movie "Jurassic World" so the storyline will be similar to the movie, but I'm adding my own twist to it. Anyways, thanks for reading!
