Addison POV:
After spending uncountable hours at the Aquatic Park, Zach and I make our way to the Cretaceous Cruise. I spent all my energy out from swimming so taking a serene jaunt on board of a kayak is definitely what I need right now. Before letting us explore the area freely, the employee of the attraction gives us life vests in case if any incident occurs.
Hopping into the large kayak, across from each other, we slowly paddle down Isla Nublar's pristine river and contemplate the lush flora surrounding us.
"There's something in these woods." Zach whispers
"Probably your imagination kid." I giggle
"I'm serious."
He points out to the large trees and as soon as my eyes fall upon them, I notice something's moving in there.
"Huh maybe it's a bird?" I say anxiously, hoping a raptor wouldn't come out and eat us.
Leaves tumble down to the ground and a huge head suddenly pops out- a gentle Brontosaurus snatches a branch and chews it into its harmless mouth.
"Oh my god! That scared the shit out of me." I sigh in relief.
"What? You thought that the T-Rex was going to appear?" he scoffs
"Shut up." I glare at him as his lips curl into an amused smile.
I roll my eyes and focus my attention back towards the sumptuous scenery around us. As we venture further, we perceive different species of herbivores masticating herbs from the ground and eyeing us suspiciously. Completely astonished by how big and marvelous they are, I let myself drool over their appealing physical features.
"Look, a porcupine there! Except it's a dinosaur version." Zach exclaims
"What you're talking about? For your information, it's an Ankylosaurus." I state
"Whatever. The things on its back remind me of a porcupine."
"They're called spikes." I correct him.
"Ok, how do you call this?" he asks, showing me another dinosaur.
"Easy. Parasaurolophus."
"Dammit. How come you're not a paleontologist already?"
"I'm just an average teenage girl who likes dinosaurs. Nothing special." l reply
"More like a dinosaur geek." he lightly smiles.
I like the fact that he remembers little details I've told him when we first met.
"I like that nickname." I grin back.
"What's mine?" he raises an eyebrow.
"Annoying." I declare, earning a sarcastic smile from him.
"Okay for real. I know you're pretty good at fixing things so I'm gonna call you Bob the builder."
"Seriously? I hate that TV show." he laughs
"Hey, you should take that as a compliment. Bob the builder is really handy." I giggle
"To be honest, I'm not that handy. I actually failed my driving test. But don't blame it on me. The driving examiner was a freak. He kept telling me to slow down whenever I accelerated a bit." he mutters
"Yeah, of course. It's totally not your fault."
"Trust me, it's not that easy. Anyways, did you start your driving lessons?"
"No but maybe I will this summer."
"Well, I hope you crash your car then fall into a lake." he smirks
