VIVIENNE SUNK DOWN into the passenger seat, feeling a mix of frustration and exhaustion as she waited for the chaotic school parking lot to clear out. rio and hope exchanged a worried glance as they observed her from inside the car.
"we're going to be late for class," hope pointed out, her tone tinged with impatience. "can we go already?"
"and i just want to go home, so can you get the fuck out?" rio nudged his sister, attempting to lighten the mood. vivienne pushed his arm away and let out an exasperated sigh, reaching down to grab her bag from the floor before silently making her way out of the car.
hope followed closely behind, giving vivienne some space before leaning her head against the passenger side window. "thanks for the ride, rio."
"it's cool," he replied with a reassuring smile. "hey, can you find out what's up with her? she hasn't said a word all morning."
"yeah, i'll talk to her. see you later," hope agreed before starting to walk away. however, as she began to depart, rio reached out and gently pulled her back by the wrist through the open window.
