"MATT!" SHE CRIED OUT, the sound reverberating through his body in an incessant loop, but the memory remained hazy. his eyes moved sluggishly, struggling to maintain focus as he felt a pair of arms supporting him from under his armpits, tilting his head back. the cacophony of shouts surrounding him was deafening, yet the words were unrecognisable, lost in the noise.
he brings his hands into his blurry eye line, his once clean hands now covered in splatters of blood and a few droplets now begin to fall onto his hands again from his face even though his entire body remained numb. kai must've got a hit too hard on him.
a very familiar brunette girl appears in front of him, her face twisted into panic and her eyes have a glossy cover over them. "oh my god," she chokes out when she sees his state, "oh. my. god."
her words cut through him and so does everything else, the unbearable pain and chaos around him. "vivienne," he mutters, barely above a whisper, despite his dazed state he still manages to pull a smile at her which is an instant regret once he realises his every movement pains him as much as the next.
