"Y/n!" Wanda's voice called out urgently and your eyes snapped open, yanking you from a lovely slumber, "Y/n! Get down here!"
You groaned before pushing yourself out of the bed and trudging quickly down the steps, waving your good mornings to the confused looking guys who were peering out the window.
"What, Wanda?" You grumbled, rubbing at your sleep eyes as you got out onto the porch, "What is - oh, shit! Wanda, let them go!"
You ran down the steps and over to the witch who had used her magic to not only freeze your friends where they stood, taking their voices away, but she also put the freaking dog at a standstill too.
"They're your friends?" She asked, embarrassment shining through her voice.
"Yes, and why Ollie??" You huffed and she released them, so you went to give them hugs, petting the dog with your free hand, "Sorry, sorry, it's a bit of a lockdown up here.'
"Yeah, no shit." Valerie let out a deep breath.
"Where have you been?" Cory looked you over as if they were searching for injuries or a cool new wooden pegleg, "Are you alright? Who's she? Where's Natasha?"
"Slow down!" Valerie scolded them and Cory frowned with furrowed eyebrows, their eyes searching yours.
"I'm fine, I'm good, really, Cors," You hugged them again, tighter than before, and smiled, "I missed you guys, it's been too long."
"We missed you too." Cory smiled when they pulled away.
"I think your dog has separation anxiety though," Valerie told you, handing over the leash, "We took him back to your place and he just whined the whole time, sniffing constantly around the kitchen."
"Thought for sure the gas was left on or something, maybe a leak," Cory sighed in relief, remembering back, "But it was all clear."
"Yeah, that's strange," You crouched down, giving Ollie a proper greeting as you introduced them, "Cory, Val, this is Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch, Wanda, these are my main bitches."
"Nice to meet you." Wanda smiled sweetly at them both, shaking their hands.
"You too." Valerie smiled back and you rolled your eyes when her hand lingered.
"Keep it in your pants, Val." You scolded lightly.
"Why?" She smirked and Wanda laugh, but then cut it short.
"Get inside," She told you three and you furrowed your eyebrows, looking up at her before you heard what sounded like about six trucks coming up this way, "All of you, get inside the cabin!"
You didn't need to be told again, so you quickly led the two inside along with Ollie, giving the leash back to Valerie as they piled through the door, and you stayed on the porch.
You watched as Wanda put her hands out and a huge red energy shield went up around the general vicinity of the cabin, giving it about a fifty-foot perimeter. She pushed forward a little more and then glanced over her shoulder at you.
"It's SHIELD." She confirmed your worst thoughts, somehow still hoping it was just avengers returning or you know, the milkman.
"Can they get through?"
"No," She assured, putting her arms down as the shield around the cabin became invisible, and if she hadn't kept talking, you'd assume she took it away, "And they can't see in, only we can see out."
"Cool." You nodded, feeling nervous.
"This isn't good, Y/n," Her voice was full of worry and concern as she joined you on the porch, standing next to you, and watching as the official vehicles approached the cabin, "It either means they stopped Natasha's plan or it's too late."
"Both don't sound so good."
She pulled out her phone after humming in response, checking it quickly before pocketing it again, staring at the agents as they piled out, searching for the now invisible cabin. Some walked into the shield and they were knocked back on their asses, calling the rest over to investigate it.
"No signal, they must've cut us off."
"Shit," You couldn't stop watching as the agents attempted to breach the dome and winced a bit when a red energy vibration went off when they fired their guns at it, "Will it hold?"
"Who're you talking to?" She scoffed with a smile, "Of course, it'll hold," She sighed, crossing her arms, "For as long as we need."
"Thanks," You put a hand on her shoulder, "I'm gonna go check on them.""I'll be here, observing the idiocy."
You went inside the cabin and they were all standing around, clearly just pretending they hadn't been watching out the window.
"Okay, so if you hadn't notice," You cringed, "Shit's kinda hitting the fan and there's no way out of the room with said fan. Like it is gonna invade your senses – all of them, whether you like it or not," You cleared your throat, "So, let's talk strategy because the food is sparse and – where's Scott?"
"Like you said," Happy grimaced, scuffing his shoe on the floor, "Food was low, so he...went out for more."
"Uh, guys?" Wanda called out and you all ran to the porch where she was looking beyond the perimeter.
"Dammit." Happy groaned after everyone followed her eyeline.
"Who's that?" Cory asked, scrunching their face up in confusion.
All of the SHIELD agents had turned their attentions around and were now pointing their guns at the man with two grocery bags and a box of donuts in his hands.
"That would be Scott Lang."
