"Cookie dough is better than cookies, change my mind – don't bother! You can't, you fools!"

You started laughing and passed the tub over to Cory as the three of you, Nat, Cory, and yourself, laid on top of the covers on your bed back in your Brooklyn house.

You had gotten out of the med bay a couple of days ago, but these two refused to leave your side even as everyone else got back to work or just their lives in general. You definitely weren't complaining, it was like an extended sleepover, and you most certainly didn't mention it when Natasha started slowly moving more and more of her stuff into your place. It started out slow, just a suitcase of clothes because she knew she wouldn't be leaving for a while, and now, only two days later, she has claimed half the dresser, a small chunk of your closet, and even hung some pictures she had framed of the two of you in the hallway and bedroom.

Again, not complaining even slightly.

Ollie hopped up on the bed a few minutes ago and now he was snoring softly at the end of it by your guys' bare feet.

Natasha had gotten a pint of ice cream from the freezer to eat instead, and it was mostly just you and Cory picking at the dough until she took a few small scoops to mix with her dessert.

"I would never argue with straight facts. Or just facts. Because none of us are...never mind." Cory told you with a shrug, chuckling, and you hummed appreciatively while Natasha just laughed.

"And I wouldn't want to argue with your adorable," Natasha turned to tap your nose with her spoon, "Stubborn," Then the cold metal hit your cheek and your face scrunched up with a smile, "Ass." She ended it with a tap to your other cheek before leaning over to kiss your lips.

"Guys, keep it in your pants, you have company." Cory scolded lightly and you groaned.

"And we do love you, Cors, we do, but I haven't had my lady properly since before I went all 'death by a thousand cuts' on her ass and it is getting weird."

"Weird?" They asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"You don't know this, but when you went out to get pizza last night, we-"

"Babe!" Natasha cut you off harshly, sitting back on her elbows to see you better, and you didn't miss the glare she was sending you, "There's a reason they don't know."

"My bad."

"Oh, gross!" Cory cringed, pushing the cookie dough back over to you, "Where? Tell me it wasn't-"

"I don't know how we ended up in there when we started in the kitchen, but-" You explained and they cut you off, but Natasha had just given up at this point.

"The guest room??" They shouted, scrambling to get up, "While you have a freakin' guest staying here?? Some decency, please!" They shook their head, "Look, I'm happy you're back and better, but I think my stay has come to an end."

"Oh, wait!" You were going to crawl off the empty side but decided to roll over Natasha instead.

"Oh, feathers, come on!" She groaned loudly as you tumbled over the assassin, trying to sound annoyed, but then you were both laughing until you fell on your knees next to her side of the bed.

"Hold on..." You reached under the bed by the headboard, biting your tongue lightly in concentration, and Natasha watched you with adoration and amusement until you pulled out a small black box from where you kept it hidden.

"Um..." Cory started, and Natasha widened her eyes, "Is that a-"

"Natalia Alianovna Romanova," You started after clearing your throat and she turned to face you better, "Or just Natasha Romanoff – or Nat," You thought for a second and Cory wanted to slap you across your gay face, "Sweetcheeks, because let's be honest your cheeks are pre-"

"Get on with it." Cory mumbled encouragingly, trying to end the potential suffering.

"I love you so very damn much and I wanted to do this on our anniversary, but I'm actually happy it's now," You told her honestly, peering up at her with your bright eyes, flicks of gold sparking in them, and met her green ones, so full of love, "Because it can be in front of my Badass of Honor, Cory," You nodded sweetly over to your friend who was covering their mouth with a hand, already crying, "And in a place we've shared so many secrets, so much love, and let's be honest, some really good sexy times," You smiled widely, popping open the box to show the engagement ring you knew she'd love, "Will you make the sexiest mistake of your life and marry me?"

She grabbed your face into a kiss the second you finished, pulling you to stand as she knelt on the bed. You tried to get the ring out of the box, but she just threw it off onto the bed and kept kissing you furiously, letting her tears hit your lips. She let out a choked-up laugh, nodding against you when she pulled away, still holding you close, and Cory was already trying the ring on, showing it off to Ollie, but neither of you cared.

"I love you too and of course I'll marry you," She whispered like the two of you were in your own little world and it helped that Cory led Ollie out of the room to give you guys a moment, "But it's not a mistake and I was..."

"You were what?" You chuckled, feeling too happy to keep it in.

"I had planned on proposing to you tonight over some tacos and coffee that I probably would've burnt."

"You can burn coffee?" You teased, pretending to be confused, and she groaned before kissing you again, so when she pulled back only slightly, you whispered, "I love you so much my fancy, intelligent, deadly sexy fiancé."

"Wanna say goodbye to your 'Badass of Honor' so we can spend the next few days in bed?" She offered with darkened eyes and you didn't have to think twice.

"They'll find their own way out." You waved it off, pushing her back onto the bed and tackling her in kisses, making her giggle.

The End...
