ELENA'S DREAM

Elena opens her eyes and looks around seeing she's in her bedroom. She gets out of bed and makes her way downstairs to the kitchen.

She enters and sees the back of a blonde girl humming. The girl slowly turns around smiling cutely at her

Zara: Darling, there you are

She walks over to her

Elena: Hey sweet girl.

Zara slides her hand slowly up her chest looking up at her with a adorable smile, Elena's knees weaken.

Zara: Please don't give yourself up to Nik. Please, I'm begging you

Elena: Baby........it's either me or my family

Zara: So this whole charade is some suicide mission so that you could sacrifice yourself and save everyone else?

Elena's face falls seeing the tears in Zara's eyes, she cups her face in her hands, wiping away the tears with her thumbs and kisses her on the forehead.

Elena: Hey, let's not fight about this, okay? Let's use this chance to actually spend time together, Z.

Zara nods her head and grabs her hands leading her out of the kitchen into the living room and sits down on the couch.

Elena: How many siblings do you have?

Zara: I had seven siblings. One died before I was born.

Elena: Had? What happened to the others?

Zara: Along with me, they're in coffins somewhere far from here. Enough of me, how are you doing, my love?

Elena: I'll say it, this dreams get boring after a while.

Zara: I know.

She leans in burying her head into her chest, Elena wraps her arms around her, kissing her on the side of the head.

Zara: But these dreams are the only reason I've kept my sanity. My soulmate

Elena: Wow. So that explains everything. We're soulmates?

Zara raises her head and nods. Elena smiles, brushing her hair out of her face.

Zara puckers her lips, Elena hooks her chin and kisses her softly on the lips.

REAL WORLD-ELENA'S BEDROOM

Elena and Elijah are gathered in her bedroom

Elijah: Forgive the intrusion. I mean your family no harm.

Elena: Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take me?

Elijah: Because I didn't want you to be taken. Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals, but those that fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelgänger exists, there'll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that.

Elena: Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?

Elijah: Let's just say that my goal is not to break the curse.

Elena: So, what is your goal?

Elijah: Klaus' obsession has made him paranoid. He's a recluse. He trusts only those in his immediate circle.

Elena: Like you?

Elijah: Not anymore.

Elena: You don't know where he is, do you? So you're trying to use me to draw him out.

Elijah: Well, to do that I need you to stay put and stop trying to get yourself killed.

Elena: How do I know you're telling the truth?

Elijah: I am aware of your dreams regarding Zara. I am aware you are her soulmate. Because of that, I am prepared to offer you a deal

Elena: What kind of a deal?

Elijah: Do nothing. Do nothing, live your life, stop fighting and then, when the time is right, you and I shall draw out Klaus together and I shall make sure your friends remain unharmed.

Elena: And then what?

Elijah: Then I kill him.

Elena: Just like that?

Elijah: Just like that. I'm a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal, I keep a deal.

Elena: How are you gonna be able to keep everybody safe?

Elijah: I notice you have a friend; Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts.

Elena: You know witches.

Elijah: Together, we can protect everybody that matters to you. So, do we have a deal?

Elena looks behind him seeing Zara sitting in a chair, dangling her legs over the armrest

Zara: Take the deal, my love

Elena: We got a deal.

Elijah looks behind him but sees nothing

Elijah: Do you see her right now?

Elena: Yes.

Elijah: Interesting.
