BEEP BEEP!
A car's engine roared in my ears. I jolted awake and I saw a man walking towards a door. He had gray hair and a white hoodie. His green shirt was striped with dark green. He looked like a kind man... but I'm not going to jump to conclusions.
"N-No," I muttered. "N-Not now... I j-j-just w-woke u-up..." the man heard me. "Who was that? Hello? Is someone else here?" He asked. He looked towards the bush I was hiding behind, approached it and he was surprised when he saw me.
My emerald-green eyes peaked out of my curled-ball formation. I trembled violently in fear. "Who did this to you, young one?" He asked seeing how bloody and dirty I was. "Hey, Uncle Chuck!" greeted Sonia suddenly.
Being afraid of her and the rest of the family I closed my eyes tightly as the man looked at her. "My girl. Who and what is this?" asked the man. "Ahh, that's Mutant. Don't worry about him. He's so weak and pathetic." answered Sonia.
"Mutant?" asked the man. My eyes opened to see what was going on. "Mutant?!? Where is your father, I need to talk to him about name-picking!!" asked the man furiously. I froze and closed my eyes tightly once again.
"What?! Uncle Chuck, I can't even describe how much it fits him. He's an anthropomorphic hedgehog with one eye! He is NOT one of us. He's a freak of nature!" explained Sonia. "NO HE'S NOT." said the man.
Sonia jumped at the man's loud voice. I did too, so much I jumped out of the ball formation. "He's your brother Sonia. If you cant see that..." he sighed. "I'm taking him with me. You'll never have to see him— or me— ever again."
"Deal," agreed Sonia. She walked away in a sassy manner. The man walked towards me. "It's okay young one... they wont hurt you anymore..." he spoke gently. "Wh-Who a-a-are yo-you?" I asked. He smiled softly at me.
"I'm your uncle. Uncle Chuck. I will not harm you." answered Uncle Chuck. "Do you want to come home with me?" He asked. I thought about it.
"Accept it~"
Tikal. By the look on Uncle Chuck's face I could tell he didn't hear her so I didn't say anything about it. "Y-Yes, Uncle Ch-Chuck," I nodded. Uncle Chuck smiled and helped me up. "Let's clean you up when we get home. Then we'll see about giving you a new name." said Uncle Chuck.
"A-Alright," I agreed. We got into Uncle Chuck's car and we drove away to his home. Are things finally looking up to me? Maybe I've finally found my home... Tikal whispered in my ear as I sat in the passenger seat.
"Good choice, Sonic."
