nora knew her actions were stupid, unfair, and selfish. they could've worked it out. long distance could've worked. but there are five things -more like problems- that will not support nora and vinnies love story.

⍣ ೋ BESIDES THE COUPLES awkward interaction on july fifth, their relationship progressed like normal. both kids started calling each other more, and spent some nights up on facetime watching hunter x hunter together. vinnie loved introducing her to his interests, and she enjoyed learning about them. before, she had barely heard about anime and didnt played video games. although she wasn't good at video games by any means, she liked them because vinnie liked them.
today was july twenty fifth and it's two am, both vinnie and nora knew they should be asleep but guiltily found themselves sleep deprived and laughing at each other for it. "stop laughing!" nora insisted after he caught her yawning and screenshotted it.
"oh my god, you look crazy." vinnie managed to scramble out.
"im gonna get you back!" nora ferociously screenshotted vinnies laughter too.

"vin, youre so annoying."
"well, im not annoying in general i just like to annoy you." he grinned stupidly at the camera before knocking it over after laughing to hard. it landed under his chin which was shadowed with purple and pink light- the only thing keeping his room illuminated and keeping him awake.
"i don't like you at all." nora couldnt help but let her adorable smile and laugh slip, which also made vinnie smile a bit.
at this point, vinnie had fallen hard. harder than he thought he would, but he'd knew it'd happen. it was impossible to not like this girl. she was the nicest person he'd ever met, and only got cuter as time passed. i forgot to tell you this, but vinnie has known her since third grade. she moved back and forth from los angeles and seattle, but ultimately ended up here in eighth grade. she's always been gorgeous, but he never really noticed her until the penny. he still kept it in his wallet, in hopes of someday giving it back to her. vinnie couldn't think of a way to ask her on a date, so he decided to make it a friendly thing.
"el j, do you want to hang out sometime?"
"what do you mean?"
"uh, like maybe.. go to the mall or something? i dont know."
"huh... are you asking me out?" nora smirked.
"well. no. um, just maybe a friendly hangout."
"so you're friendzoning me? wow. thats never happened before."
"no! i can invite some other friends and you can too, maybe. uh- i wasn't trying to be mean at all-"
"vin, its okay. let's go tomorrow, just the two of us."
shocked took over vinnies heated body. he did not expect her to say yes, let alone imply a solo, "friendly", get together between the two of them.
