⍣ ೋ YEARS LATER, VINNIE truly overcame his depression after moving to la when he turned eighteen. los angeles seemed exciting, it got him out of his bed and helped him explore himself and his values. he met some really good dudes at the house he moved into. he was finally growing up and getting over that rocky road.
at first, it was so scary to think that nora was in the same city as him, and he often, like still to this day, wonders if she thinks about him. they still haven't spoken, which has come to a shock for both nora and vinnie considering how many mutual friends they share. a good example is bryn, who is noras bestfriend and filmer, she had worked with vinnie for modelling and filming for the hype house a few years ago.
both parties are deliberately ignoring each other, which has become more and more difficult as their friend groups start to merge. at one point, nora and vinnie attended the same halloween party and it was packed, so whenever you needed to go somewhere you had to expect to touch at least ten people. when nora just wanted to go to the bathroom, coming out of it was vinnie, who locked eyes with her for a second too long, then moved away briskly and fell into the crowd. that was the last interaction they had, and it still ran through noras memory regardless if sobriety was her top priority that night, and it wasn't.
bryn has known of nora and vinnies situation since she met nora back in 2020. bryn and nora grew very close over quarantine and gained trust for each other, so nora vented about her first love, and the way she fucked up by blocking him and giving up on her love too fast. nora summon the guts to just unblock him, call him, and cry her eyes out. she wanted to give him the biggest apology but she couldn't risk the hurt of him hating her.
so, she avoided him. but at what point would it be impossible?
