i have a question

⍣ ೋ VINNIE AND NORA both met at the entrance of the mall near an arcade center. they greeted each other with blooming smiles, and vinnie had a bouquet of blooming flowers. vinnie made the first move to hug nora, and she sheepishly reciprocated. she was engulfed by his  breezy, oceanic smell that took her back to times in la; his scent was nostalgic although she only met him a few months back.

after the embrace, the couple decided to join everyone in the arcade, which seemed to have endless games and prizes. for the first few minutes, awkwardness surrounded both individuals. they both searched for a game before eventually settling on a zombie first person shooter. they each had their own gun, and started off in a broken down cemetery. nora and vinnie were going against each other to see who could kill the most zombies, and if you accidentally shot a human or animals, you'd have a ten second penalty.

nora had completely bodied vinnie in the end, with a 34:12 ratio. "wow, vin, i though you played video games like that?" she  said gathering her tickets and waving them in his embarrassed face.

"im still better than you at every other game, though."

"says the guy without 340 tickets."

they spent the rest of their time in the arcade trying to win silly stuffed animals and other kiddy items they both didn't need. nora and vinnie and both spent an unholy amount of money on one particular game that had prizes you could win like iphones, and to their best interest, a hundred dollars. at the point when they gave up, the profit margins of the prize and the cost were very, very tight. after spending almost 2 hours in the arcade, both decided they were starving and settled on going to a restaurant right across from the malls plaza.

"i have a question, have you ever been here?" vinnie asked as he opened the big, glass pivot door for her.

as nora softly blushed, she replied no.

the girl who greeted them had a smug look on her face, like she was just waiting for her shift to be over. her name tag stated "fiera". vinnie secured an outside table since the sun was setting, and he thought it would be a nice view for the both of them.

vinnie order a savory, baked mac and cheese while nora stuck to a simple shrimp alfredo. over dinner, they talked about how they knew each other before sophomore year.

"yeah, i definitely remember you from fifth grade." nora quirked as she remembered him and his old best friend, fernando.

"oh, what? me and fernando? oh god, we were so annoying."

"everyone thought you guys were so weird because you guys would never play kickball at recess..."

"okay..? whats so wrong about trying to find frogs?"

nora laughed, "leave the frogs alone! never mess with nature."

vinnie insisted on paying for their dinner even though nora put up a very good argument. one that lasted more than five minutes.

"i asked you, first. i should pay, elanor." vinnie already had the thirty two dollars the dinner was, plus a five dollar tip.

"exactly. you took me out, i should pay."

"no, i got it. its the gentlemanly thing to do."

"since when were you a gentleman?" she quickly rebutted with a friendly attitude.

"since i asked you out." a confidence came over vinnie like it was a duty he needed to serve; he was going to pay for the bill tonight.

noras eyes flickered with interested and a twinge of confusion. he said it wasn't a date? was it? i mean it seemed like it. nora didnt mind either. "i have a question, vincent."

vinnie tilted his head in interest and slight annoyance.

"will you be my boyfriend?"
