chapter fifteen

Standing in front of the main door, Taeil looked straight at the younger alpha. Johnny hasn't even said a word, but Taeil knows why he is here.

Johnny, without a hint of regret in his eyes, full of confidence warping his whole existence. He didn't back down, "Where is Jaehyun?"

"You locked him in your house. Why are you looking for him here?" Trying to act maturely. Trying to be polite. Trying to not side with anyone. Trying to believe in Johnny.

It hasn't been a day since he can hear Jaehyun's thoughts and only God knows how messy the younger omega's thought was. It's preventing Taeil from having his own coherent thought and it is making him mad. How many times he glared at Jaehyun begging Jaehyun to control his thought?

He hasn't prepared to see anyone. He doesn't even know what happens to Jaehyun and Johnny. He doesn't know if he should get mad at Johnny or... To Jaehyun. Or even to Taeyong. Or should Taeil get mad at all? Or should he listen to Johnny's explanation first? Jaehyun hasn't said a word about Johnny.

"Let me see him," He was polite. Or pretending to be polite. Taeil has no idea. "Jaehyun, bear. Come out. I am here."

Jaehyun trembled hearing the voice. He takes a small run, hiding inside Taeil's wardrobe. Taeil blink his eyes. Taking a deep breath, "Jaehyun doesn't seem pleased to see you."

Johnny's eyes flinched. His expression seems tense. He smirked, taking a deep breath; looking angrily at Taeil, "Why are you keeping my husband away from me? I am trying to be respectful since you are older than me, but keeping my husband away from me? I don't think I can stay polite. I don't think you deserve any respect then."

"You locked him inside your house while he is in heat. You know that could kill him. You demand my respect?"

"You went inside, that's what triggered his heat. You are well aware of that, you are his mate! Why are putting the blame on me? You are invading my place. I could press charge on you. Ask Jaehyun out. I need to see Jaehyun." Johnny takes a step closer, "Jaehyun, bear. Come out, baby!"

"You killed Mickey, I heard."

"Why should I care about stupid cat!?" Johnny said in contained anger, that he didn't want to scare Jaehyun. He left Jaehyun for five days for Jaehyun, he is taking care of something so they can leave Korea without any regret. They can start fresh in Manchester, everything will be okay again. They will live happily ever after again! "I don't give a fuck about any cat. Get Jaehyun out of your house."

Taeil chuckled in disbelieved. The darkness was deep in Johnny's eyes, he never noticed before.

Is this the same man he trusted to take care of Jaehyun years back? Is he the same man who swore love to Jaehyun? Is this the same man with genuine eyes that Jaehyun decided to love for the rest of his life? What happened to the old kind, genuine Johnny?

Maybe he never exists. Taeyong's words linger in his head.

'Johnny, you are scaring me,' Jaehyun cried out quietly, Taeil knew the weight of the simple word hold.

Taeil wasn't used to hearing Jaehyun's thoughts, he flinched when he heard those words. Johnny, who was watching him takes a deep breath, he knows that Taeil can hear Jaehyun's thoughts now. He knows the string that connected the pair had gotten stronger. He needs to be careful if he still wants Jaehyun, basically, Jaehyun's life is in Taeil's hands once they seal the fates.

"You marked him?" Johnny's voice trembled.

'I am sorry,'

Johnny snickered, suppressing laughter. "You marked my husband!? You said you didn't want him! I thought you agreed that Jaehyun would live with me. He loves me! He wants me, not you!"
