Agent Danson gave Olivia instructions to pack a bag for herself and each of her daughters. Once her husband left for work on Monday, the agents would pick up Olivia and then grab the girls from the school. The morning routine needed to remain the same, as to not draw attention from Hugo. Olivia took notes on what needed to happen before driving home to begin her prep.
Hugo spent most of his time at home during the weekend, so when Olivia needed to pack, she had to do it in the middle of the night or while Hugo was taking a shower. Rory and Macie weren't too concerned about what their mother was doing, even though Olivia told them to not tell their father.
Monday morning arrived, and Olivia was beyond anxious about everything. Hugo had slept in, so she didn't know when he'd leave for work or if he'd be gone once she got back.
"Say goodbye to your father," Olivia spoke, as she finished helping Macie with her jacket. The little girls sprinted to their father and gave him tight hugs. Hugo stared at Olivia as he hugged their daughters.
"Have a good day," Hugo spoke plainly, as the girls stepped back.
"I love you, Daddy!" Macie squealed before taking her big sister's hand and racing to the garage.
"Are you going to be home when I get back?" Olivia asked as she grabbed her purse and keys.
"Do you have plans today I don't know about?" Hugo replied as he continued to stare at his wife. Olivia was beyond uncomfortable with his staring and was wondering if he knew about her plans. If he was aware a little after noon, she'd be picking the girls up and going into witness protection with them.
"If you aren't going to be home, I'll run some errands instead of coming straight home," Olivia sighed softly.
"Maybe you should just come home and see for yourself," Hugo replied with a smile that made Olivia's skin crawl.
Olivia didn't say another word to her husband as she joined her girls in the garage. After checking Macie's car seat and Rory's booster seat, Olivia climbed into the driver's seat and took a shaky breath.

When Olivia got home from dropping the girls off, Hugo wasn't at the house. She did a quick sweep of the rooms and backyard before going inside and finishing her preparation. All important documents were packed up and placed in each bag. Olivia took all three bags and placed them on the front bench before wasting time by making dinner for her husband.
Every minute that passed felt like hours, and Olivia wished an earlier time had been decided on.
"Olivia!" Hugo yelled as he came into the house.
Olivia froze by the kitchen sink as tears burned her eyes. She took shaky breaths as her husband's steps got closer and she turned around slowly.
"W-what are you doing here?" Olivia asked.
"When were you going to tell me you are taking our girls and leaving me?" Hugo huffed, as he dropped all three bags on the floor.
"Babe-"
"Don't lie to me, Olivia! First, you accuse me of selling drugs and killing people, and now you are leaving me?! You are fucking stupid if you think I'll allow you to kidnap my girls and leave with them!"
"Please-"
"Shut up!" Hugo screamed, as he bounded across the kitchen tile and grabbed Olivia by her neck. He slammed her against the fridge as tupperware fell and scattered on the floor.
"H-Hugo, please stop," Olivia croaked out.
"I should've killed you when I had the chance! My life would be better off without some nagging whore that expects life to be a fairytale! In the end, those girls will be better off with whatever slut I'm with next," Hugo growled, before slamming Olivia against the fridge again. She could barely see straight after the second slam and black dots danced in her vision.
Olivia slid down the fridge, a trail of blood following her to the floor. She breathed weakly as her husband leaned down and looked at her before slapping her hard across her face. When he leaned back, a large smile grew on his lips.
"I'm going to work now, and I pray you are cold by the time I get back. Don't even think about getting Rory and Macie, because I'm picking them up and taking them with me. You'll never see those stupid girls ever again," Hugo grinned, before standing and kicking Olivia hard in her legs.
She didn't know how long she sat on the floor of her kitchen before Agent Danson and his partner arrived. When they broke down the front door, Olivia had slumped onto her side, her head still bleeding and her breathing coming in gasps.
"Olivia, it's gonna be okay," Agent Danson spoke, as he quickly knelt beside Olivia and placed his hands on her neck. Olivia opened her eyes slowly and stared at the man in front of her.
"He's... taking... them..." Olivia panted, as tears ran down her bruised cheeks.
"We can focus on them later, Olivia. We need to get you to the hospital, okay? Ford, grab her legs and lets get her to the car. We can't waste time waiting for an ambulance and notifying her husband that we took her."

Olivia woke up a few days later, an ache in her head unlike any pain she'd felt before. She squinted her eyes as scanned the room and tried to figure out where she was.
"Hey, Olivia. It's Agent Danson and Agent Ford," Agent Danson spoke, as he stood and quickly walked to Olivia's bedside.
"W-what happened?"
"Hugo figured out that you are leaving him and he attacked you. We got you out of that house and you are safe now. You have a pretty gnarly concussion and a brain bleed, but you'll be okay."
"What about my babies?" Olivia whispered as she slowly rubbed her forehead.
"Olivia-"
"Where are Macie and Rory?"
"Hugo took them and we can't risk their lives by trying to take them back... We will keep a close eye on them while we try to get enough evidence to arrest and charge him. Everything will be okay, I promise."
"H-he tried to kill me. Why wouldn't he do the same to them?" Olivia whimpered.
