Olivia stumbled into the airport as blood dripped from the open wounds on her face. An agent walked beside her as they approached the gate.

"I don't know if they'll let me on the flight looking like this," Olivia whispered.

"I'll be riding with you, so it won't be an issue," He replied. Olivia glanced at the agent before nodding slowly.

"Okay."

As they approached the gate, Elliot held both girls as they waited to see if Olivia would return to them. If not, Elliot knew Hugo had found them and killed her.

"Give this to your daughter," the agent spoke as he held out Maci's teddy bear.

"You grabbed it," Olivia said weakly.

"I knew you must've gone to your rental for some reason," He replied. Olivia took the teddy bear from the agent before quickly closing the gap between herself and her family.

"One teddy bear just for Maci Leigh," Olivia smiled, her lips shaking. She knew she looked rough, but had to pretend she didn't realize.

"What the hell happened?" Elliot demanded as he stood with both girls still in his grip. They dangled in his arms as they stared at their mother in shock.

"Nothing, El. This is Agent Greene, and he will be escorting us back to Manhattan. We need to board soon," Olivia spoke.

"Liv, this isn't nothing. You have two gaping wounds on your face and blood on your shirt. What happened?" Elliot demanded once more. Olivia reached out and helped to sit the girls on their feet before Agent Greene grabbed their hands and walked them away from their mother and stepfather.

"Hugo found us, El. He saw me by the rental and pulled a gun. He planned to kill me and force the girls to see my dead body. Agent Greene and a few other agents came by and arrested him. Things will be dealt with once we are safe in New York," Olivia explained. Elliot swallowed hard as tears slipped down his cheeks.

No matter how angry he was with Olivia just hours prior, he still loved her more than life itself and hated what happened to her before she became Olivia Benson. When they talked about Hugo, Elliot almost assumed that Olivia was lying about how bad her ex was, but now he knew she wasn't lying. Hugo was a monster in every way.

"I love you so much, and today scared the shit out of me. There better not be any more scary exes out there that could harm you and our girls again."

Olivia shook her head but remained far away from her husband.

"No, El. There is no one else... I'm so sorry about today and I won't fight you on the divorce," Olivia frowned.

Elliot shook his head as he stepped forward and wrapped his arms tightly around Olivia's body. He took slow breaths as he felt his wife relax in her arms.

"I'm not going to file for a divorce, but we aren't going to just push this behind us. We need to talk about Hugo in-depth very soon."

Not long after they took off, a group of Hugo's cronies came and tried to find the girls. Agent Greene was notified once they landed at ATL and made sure security kept an eye out for anyone who might attack while they waited for the next flight.

"Your booboos don't look good," Rory whispered, as watched her mother change Maci out of her soiled clothes and into clean ones they bought for far too much at the airport.

"I'll be fine, baby. I promise," Olivia replied.

"Did Daddy hurt you?" Maci asked as Olivia pulled down her t-shirt. Olivia wanted to say no, but the girls must know how horrible their father is. It was clear he was out of control the moment he used his vehicle as a battering ram.

"Yes, he hit me twice with a gun. He was arrested by people Agent Greene knows and won't be coming around to bother us anymore," Olivia spoke.

Rory frowned as she grabbed her baby sister's hand.

"Daddy said you died because you were a bad mommy. How are you here? Daddy showed us where your body was." Rory frowned. Olivia couldn't believe how hardcore Hugo went in regards to her 'death'. He didn't even try to make things easier for their daughters, he just went all out to make them think she had died.

"I wasn't a bad mommy, Rory. I tried so hard to be a good mommy and wife... I took care of you and your sister, made sure Daddy was always happy, and loved you all. He didn't like that I wanted to take you two to safety, so he hurt me really bad in our kitchen and left me to die. When he came home, I wasn't there, and he knew I must've survived and got away. I have a huge scar on the back of my head from where he slammed me into the fridge," Olivia rambled.

She swallowed hard when she saw her daughters crying quietly as they listened. Olivia quickly lifted her daughters up and hugged them tightly to her aching body.

"Your father will never get to us again, babies. Elliot and I will always protect you, I promise. We will go home and figure out what our new life will be like. Elliot has parents and siblings who will just adore you two," Olivia smiled, as her daughters nuzzled their heads into Olivia's neck.

"What about Gramma?" Rory whispered.

"I don't know about her, baby. However, I will ask once we get back to New York and can get some sleep. Lots of sleep."
