TW: Violence
The sun was rising as they crossed into Georgia. Maci and Rory were sleeping, and Elliot was quietly stewing in the passenger seat. Olivia let out a yawn as she glanced in the rearview mirror. She prepared to merge but stopped when she noticed a black SUV driving erratically behind them. As it kept swerving in and out of lanes, Olivia knew exactly who was driving the SUV.
"El," Olivia spoke, as she grew more alert.
"I don't want to talk to you," Elliot huffed, as Olivia glanced in the mirror again. This time, she saw Hugo's face as he grew closer.
"Elliot, I need you to deal with me for a few more minutes. There is an SUV a few lanes back that keeps swerving in and out," Olivia explained, as she tried to pinpoint where the gun was in her purse.
"We aren't highway patrol," Elliot grumbled.
"No, but that isn't some normal idiot. That is Hugo, and he knows we have the girls. We need to be prepared for what he will do to make me pay for taking the girls back. I need you to reach back and grab my purse."
"Now isn't the time to reapply makeup," Elliot groaned, even if he was growing worried. No matter how angry he was with his wife, he still loved her and didn't want her daughters to get hurt.
"There is a gun in there, along with an old burner phone. I need you to call Agent Ford and tell him I did what he told me not to do and I need help right away," Olivia spoke.
"You bought a gun? What are we-" Elliot started, but he stopped as they were slammed forward. Hugo had found them and was ramming their vehicle from behind.
"Shit!" Olivia exclaimed, her heart racing in her chest.
"Mama, what's wrong?" Rory yawned.
"Baby, I need you to hold on tight. Okay?" Olivia spoke, as Hugo prepared to ram them again.
"Mama-" Rory started, but she stopped as they were hit again. Rory and Maci screamed as Olivia quickly tried to find an opening to make it to an exit.
"Agent Ford, this is Elliot Stabler. Olivia and I went to Miami and got the girls back, but Hugo found out and is trying to kill us!"

Olivia was shaking as they took a different route to Valdosta. She didn't know if Hugo was able to hit another exit or if they had finally lost him. Maci and Rory were crying in the back seat as Elliot loaded the gun that Olivia had purchased. Agent Ford was sending agents to Valdosta to pick up them and make sure they got a flight back to New York. Once there, Olivia wasn't sure what would happen.
Olivia pulled into the airport and got out. She quickly opened the back door and reached in to caress Rory's cheek.
"I'm so sorry this is happening," Olivia whispered.
"W-Was that Daddy?" Rory hiccupped.
"Yes, it was. I think we lost him so we can get on a plane," Olivia said with a shaky smile.
"Mama, I had an accident," Maci whimpered as Elliot opened her door.
"It's okay, kid. We can get you cleaned up before the flight," Elliot spoke. Olivia met his eyes but didn't say anything as they grabbed the girls.
The group walked into the building when Maci cried she left her teddy bear.
"Give me my purse and you take them inside. I'll be back soon," Olivia spoke. Elliot hesitantly passed his wife her purse that held the loaded gun. Olivia ran back to their mostly destroyed rental car and was grabbing Maci's teddy bear when someone grabbed her shoulder.
"Where are the girls?" Hugo growled, his voice sharp as Olivia felt cold metal on the back of her head.
"I don't know," Olivia lied.
"You are so stupid, Olivia. I will always find you and I'll finally finish the job," Hugo growled as he quickly turned Olivia around. He slammed her against the car as she tried to remain calm.
"You couldn't kill me the first time. What makes you think you can kill me now?" Olivia taunted.
"Where are the fucking girls?!" Hugo spat, his gun aimed at the center of Olivia's chest.
"You will never find them. I can promise you that," Olivia smiled. Hugo quickly hit Olivia with his gun, her head swiveling to the side as blood oozed from the wound.
"Don't fucking try me, Olivia! Maci and Rory hate you for leaving them!"
"They thought I was dead thanks to you! You will never get your hands on my girls ever again!" Olivia yelled. Hugo hit her again, another wound opening.
"If you don't tell me where the girls are, I will kill you right here. Then I will find the girls and make them look at your dead body. This time you won't be coming back," Hugo smiled. Olivia nodded slowly, her fingers barely touching the trigger of her gun.
"No, you won't be coming back after I'm done with you," Olivia spoke, as she pulled the gun from her purse and quickly aimed it at Hugo. He laughed as he took a few steps back.
"They will never forgive you if you kill me."
"They'll understand that I did what needed to be done. You are scum and deserve all the bad things happening to you," Olivia spoke, her hands remaining steady.
This is what she had wanted to do since Hugo left her to die in their kitchen. She wanted him to feel the pain she had felt for the longest time.
"Shoot me, Olivia," Hugo smiled.
"No need. Hugo Wilson, drop the gun. You are under arrest for the attempted murder of Olivia Wilson, and so many other crimes," an agent spoke as he slowly approached them.
"You might not be dying today, but you no longer have a grasp on our daughters."
