"...So i see you weren't lying, weed"
"I told you, smiley trash! And why would I even lie about this?!"
"Do you really want me to answer that?"
"You really need to chill out. Why are you always so uptight? You used to be so much fun before~"
Sans didnt feel the need to reply to that and instead brought out a spray bottle for situations like this, spraying Flowey in the face while he stared out to the scene in front of him. He ignored the hissing from the soulless flower, eyes glued to the tiny goat that was making a flower crown of all things.
He had seen pictures of the royal's long dead kid and it was a dead ringer, his hand twitching as bleat like laughter filled the air when they finished their task.
The soulless flower and skeleton watched on, both on the same page for once as they shared a single look:
'None of the other monsters can see them'
There would be far too much drama otherwise, goat monsters not numerous enough to be able to 'slip in' another one unnoticed. Hell, Sans would have preferred if they were a babybones as he was sure he could sprout some nonsense on how skeleton monsters reproduced. It's not like there were enough of them for anyone to say differently Gaster was long gone and while they were a 'less then ideal monster' he had inherited their smarts.
"Whelp, I've done my bit. Good luck with dealing with this you *hiss* why did you spray me again?!"
"We aren't done by a long shot weed. Now introduce me...what's their name anyway?"
"...."
"You didn't even ask?!"
"I had a lot on my mind, ok! You said to inform you when there was an issue and I did. Don't blame me for your shortcomings, smiley trash!"
One day Sans was going to kill the weed, abruptly dropping the plant pot Flowey was currently in and walking away when they flipped upside down.
"What was that for?!"
"Whoops, guess my hand slipped"
"I'm going to dust you one day!"
"You weren't very good at letting it stick though, were you?
"I preferred it when you were depressed! How did you get even more annoying?!"
"Im just rib-tickling good"
"That doesn't even make any sense!"
Sans ignored the soulless flowers grumbling and sat near the kid, hoping to get some answers.
He soon became alarmed at how quickly the kid heh, he cracked himself up some days warmed up to him. The way they simply nodded when he said he wanted them to meet a new 'friend' had rang alarm bells in his mind, truly concerned who had raised this kid.
He held the scarily small goat monsters hand he had forgotten how small children could be, barely even around Frisk nowadaysexamining how they weren't showing a hint of wariness and instead humming a tune as he led them down the street.
He sadly held Floweys pot as well, the irritating plant swaying side to say and doing the 'goody' act so as not to alarm the humans they walked past. It was lucky he lived relatively close by and away from others, having wanted his space after the time in the Underground when they were packed like sardines.
That was the excuse he told everyone but it was the RESETS that truly did it, still having memories of all the dust and the hell of a continuous loop that never seemed to end. Some Days he thought he had snapped, wondering if this was real life or something his broken mind had concocted.
"Where are we going now, Mr Sans?"
"Just back to my place, kid. It's not that far"
"You sound like such a creeper, smiley trash~"
He threw a magical bone at Flowey, barely missing one of their petals. He ignored their hissing and internally cringed at the overly polite title the child insisted on calling him but no matter what he said they wouldn't drop it, looking at him with wide innocent red eyes that he felt so very weak to.
He had only felt like this with his brother before, Floweys taunting ignored, especially when he noticed how they folded like wet napkin whenever the kid asked them something.
The rest of the walk was filled with the kids' chatter and comments on everything they spotted, taking out his phone and sending a single message, just knowing who the likely culprit was of this.

Flowey couldn't look away from the goat child, who was currently playing on the rug by the tv, finding Sans home unusually clean today but that wasn't his main focus.
Even Sans getting scolded by his brother which usually brought on a good laugh, overhearing Papyrus demand to know what was going on right this second was not enough to make him look away for a second.
Now that he had calmed from his initial panic he thought of things more logically, looking over the kid with a sharper eye.
While at first glance they were a ringer for his old form, he realised it only went as far as what species they were. While they did have white fur he could see patches that looked paler but admitted it was hard to see under the thin layer of dirt covering them.
They really needed a bath and new clothes, ignoring how caring his new thoughts sounded and convincing himself it was only a phase due to the new oddity.
The child's eyes, while red at first glance, seemed to have speckles in it, dots of white and black that almost looked like a trick of the light. They were also much smaller then he had been and it was never more obvious then when they had stood beside Sans.
He wasnt a tall 'monster' unsure he even counted as one anymore so everything looked big to him, able to get a more unbiased perspective once he ugh actually talked to Sans about it.
He was distracted from his thoughts when the front door opened, giving an intent look to Frisk as they walked into the living and spotting the flash of surprise and happiness when they saw the goat child and he knew he wasnt the only one to notice this.
He saw Sans stroll into the room, none of their jovial attitude present and swore the tension in the room grew rather tense.
"So glad you could come, kiddo. I think we need to have a nice chat about keeping secrets again"
He shivered at smiley trash's voice, their flaring blue eyelight a thing of nightmares, unable to feel any pity for Frisk right now.
They had done something, the somehow still oblivious goat child, something they had to do with, wondering what laws of nature they violated now. Frisk was a DETERMINED SOUL and it was truly something to fear, unsure if he wanted to hear the answer of not.
