Nightmare just wanted one night of peace. Why is the universe so against giving him that?!

Nightmares Castle

Nightmare was enjoying the rare quiet time he could get in the chaos he called his life, swirling his glass of wine while reading a book he had been trying to read for months now. The rest of his minions knew better than to disturb him right now, needing at least one night of the month alone otherwise the results would not be pretty for anyone.

He used a tentacle to turn the page, one of the most beneficial uses of these stupid things that made life far more difficult than it had to be. Sure, everyone commented on his pure fear factor and the power boost but simply showering was a pain and the way his corruption liked to cling to everything if he wasnt careful enough was another headache inducing thing he had to deal with.

"Stop stealing my chocolate, Killer!"

"In your dreams, criss cross"

"You dont even like my chocolate! What are you even doing with it?!"

"Bribes for Error of course"

"I think you mean the payment so he doesnt dust you whenever he sees you"

"Dont be so rude, Dust! Glitchy loves me!"

"He would gift you to Ink and thank the Creator for taking you. I don't think he hates anyone more than you in the entire multiverse"

"So rude, criss cross!"

"I cant say I blame him. I wonder if i could bribe Error to give us the gift of your lack of presence"

"Dust! You are breaking my SOUL here!"

Nightmares' eyes twitched, trying to pray for patience and turning another page as the shouting eventually grew quieter. He mentally reminded himself again to never leave Killer alone with Error as he wouldn't be surprised if an 'accident' occurred'. He wasn't sure what Killer thought would happen when they tried to prank the Destroyer with a hug but being thrown into the AntiVoid with him having to bargain for Killer's safe return, clearly hadn't done the idiot any good.

He was starting to get worried if Killers IQ had somehow dropped after that little punishment but then he recalled that Killer had sadly come like that when they first met. He still hadn't been sure what he had been thinking when picking a team but he was going to blame it on the pitiful pickings of monsters available.

It was hardly his fault his aura scared the majority off and the slim pickings after weren't exactly the sanest bunch.

He might have been desperate at one point but he still had standards, still unsettled by that Frisk Temmie that had practically begged to join. It said something when even the Creator had stopped making AU's like that, having made sure to send Error a large basket of chocolate once they removed the last AU that contained that abomination.

He was truly wary of what went on Inks mind most days, never able to predict them due to the unsettling feel of their emotions. He couldn't even tell if the frustrating Creator was soulless or not as his senses kept being messed with, even his twin admitting they had no clue.

One thing he did know was that they should never be trusted, their thought process a mystery and some days fearing they were about to wipe him out due to being 'bored'. His fears didnt settles when Error did not dispute any of his concerns, looking uncharacteristically serious and saying its best to 'avoid at all costs'.
