Sans is very stressed and wishes he could get out of this conversation.
His wish is granted but you should always be careful what you ask for~

Sans was sweating bullets and was regretting all of his life choices that led him up to this exact moment. He couldnt even enjoy how unsettled Flowey looked right now as he was far too busy doing his best to not just shortcut out of here and hide for a good few years.

Sadly he knew that would only make the situation worse, unsure if he had ever seen Asgore like this but definitely felt their expression would play a starring role in his nightmares from now on.

"Repeat that again for me, Judge"

He winced at the cold tone, his old title feeling like a warning and insult combined in one. Who knew Asgore could sound like this, his eyelight flickering in anxiety and wishing he had manged to convince Frisk to join them.

He knew that would have been a futile effort and even if he did succeed he would still be the main one under scrutiny as Frisk was the 'golden child'.

"I f-found a g-goat monster child..?"

He wanted to smack himself when that came out like a question and even Asgore, the monster he had once called 'King fluffybuns' was looking at him as if he was the biggest idiot he had ever seen.

"I saw. What i want to know is why it took you so long to bring it to me. Don't try and lie and say you only just found them, i saw the tapes"

Asgore said with a deceptively calm tone that did nothing to hide the building anger or displeasure in his body language, his eyes ice cold for once and his perfect control over his magic starting to falter from all of his raging emotions.

Sans had no clue how to get out of this one and for once regretted not bringing Papyrus along. It was just him and Asgore in their bright kitchen which was somehow more intimidating then Judgement Hall right now. Even Asgore's flower print shirt might as well have been an executioner's outfit for how comforting he was finding it.

He wasnt sure what he had been thinking when he brought Aster here but his mind never went to this scenario, which was frankly a surprise with how negative his mind usually was. He wanted to be proud of the progress no matter how pitiful but now wasnt the time, his mind trying to scramble how to put the information in a way which wouldnt get him skewered.

He knew he was in trouble as soon as he brought Aster here and Toriel just happened to be visiting.

To say the former Queen took it well would be lying and he was pretty sure that was the main reason Asgore looked ready to use his skull like a football.

"Well? Im waiting, Sans? I am more then happy to wait all day until you speak. I have all the time in the world"

He wasnt the only one to shiver, Flowey in the corner of the room also looking ready to lose all their petals in stress. For once he was glad they were here, at least the suffering could be shared.

A nice distraction would be great though, a part of him even praying that the CORE was about to explode so he would be far away from all of this.

Toriel kept a smile on her face through sheer force of will, the world feeling out of focus and moving on autopilot. She barely understood what the little one she couldn't force herself to say his name was talking about but nodded along every so often.
