As I exited my car, a heavy sigh left my chest; Anupama called me "Vanilla." Whoever taught her that term might as well join me in hell. The wildcat would be eager to drag me down in that same place, and I would not hesitate to take her with me. Her brown eyes sparkled in the sunlight, and I felt slightly sting as the waves collided. "Would you ever fall in love again?" I asked her, and her answer was a definitive no.

I couldn't fathom why a part of me anticipated a different response or what drove me to the brink of losing my composure. I harboured no intentions of falling in love with any woman on this forsaken planet, nor did I plan to marry or celebrate a union with anyone. Yet, there I was, reaching out to a woman whose emotions were beyond my grasp.

She was lost in the clouds, but she drew me in with an intense warmth. I yearned to encircle her neck with my hands and run my fingers through her soft, silky hair once more. I groaned, feeling the hardness strain against my pants at the very thought. The thoughts of me being buried deep inside her cunt, made my breath hitch at the image.

My gaze lingers on the sleek black Aston Martin as Nicolas emerges, holding the hand of a woman with red-painted nails. My eyes widen as her white dress billows in the wind while she exits the car. A slight tremble touches my lips as realisation dawns; my mother was not supposed to be here today! My mind shouts internally. Levi scans the area, his gaze landing on me, marked by a ghostly pallor.

Levi shrugs slightly, fear evident in his eyes, just as my mother exits the car. I hasten towards Anupama, who is leisurely making her way. As I close the distance, my heart pounds, and I press my eager lips to hers. Our lips quiver together, her kiss matching my enthusiasm. My arms encircle her waist, pulling her close, her body melding with mine.

Desperation doesn't begin to describe what I feel for her. It's a blazing fire that refuses to be tamed by reason. I must be the most foolish man alive to pursue a woman who's emotionally out of reach. My desire to hold her seems to outweigh my need to prove to my mother that I am worthy. But am I?

I pull away slowly, leaving a trail of warmth as I face my mother. Warmth is in my eyes, but my expression is stoic. My glance shifts briefly to Anupama, whose eyes are wide with shock, mirroring the astonishment of everyone around us. I can hear her stifled groan as her gaze follows the ones she calls Baa and Bapuji. My respect is limited for those who condone infidelity or offer an easy escape from it.

I felt her trembling in my arms and quickly tightened my grip to steady her. Tears gushed from Anupama's eyes as the old woman clicked her tongue, "Disgusting," spewing venom like a serpent that fancies itself draped around God's neck. Her husband, whose glasses seemed to battle his nose, pulled her back with a vicious snarl. I would have torn her apart from the inside out if she had made my woman cry. My woman... Great, now I'm genuinely delusional.

I saw her lip tremble as she tried to confront the same woman who hadn't done anything with her husband in years, probably wanting to stop someone whose body still craves pleasure. She longed for something everlasting, even if it meant enduring the scornful stares of fools. The man she knew as Bapuji furrowed his brows, and his cheeks flushed red as he snarled, "Leela, be quiet!" His voice was a hiss as Kinjal yanked Leela back into the car amidst her curses.

"Anupama, you wicked witch, harlot," Leela spat out, her wrinkles deepening. Anupama's lips quivered slightly as the harsh words washed over her. Her hand balled into a fist, and there was no doubt that the venomous words pierced the We Can'tBe FriendsYour Lovevisualiseressence of the most innocent soul on earth. I was on the verge of reacting, but a shiver coursed through me, urging restraint as I saw her eyes brim with tears. Oh Lord, please implore this woman to release the grip on my heartstrings.
