chp.4(pt.2).The blush

Ling Hua and Xuan Xiu began talking about what to do with me, in the meanwhile I stared up at the sky and zoned out watching the clouds thinking about how unlucky I was to be the only one without a tent. I'm assuming that only a few minutes went by when I heard my name being called, I looked over towards Xuan Xiu and the General.

"For the time being you will share a tent with General Hua," Xuan Xiu smiled mischievously as he said this.

"What!?"

"Huh?"

Me and the General both exclaimed, but in different tones, the General seemed more angry and flabbergasted but I was entirely confused. Why was I sharing a tent with the General? I already assumed that he and Xuan Xiu were sharing since they were our leading officers. Still grinning Xuan Xiu waved and hurried off leaving us by ourselves in a stunned silence. After a few very awkward moments the General cleared his throat.

"So, um, remind me of your name," He said awkwardly.

"Qu Qian,"I replied just as awkwardly staring at the ground.

"Well, Qu Qian, umm,"He said awkwardly."do you have a favorite food?" He seemed like he regretted asking the question.

Ling Hua's P.O.V;

I wanted crawl into the ground and never come out! What the fuck kind of question was that!? My face was burning hot and I looked away.

"Hmm, I think it would probably be steamed pork dumplings and pears," Qu Qian said with a faint smile as he held his hands behind his back and looked up at the sky with beautiful, sparkling, green eyes.

I cocked an eyebrow." Pork and pear?" I asked intrigued about the odd combination.

"It's sweet and savory," He replied with a soft smile.

"Tell me more"

We ended up chatting about different ways to combine fruits and meats to create flavors that make feel like your ascending to the heavens themselves,and by we I mean Qu Qian(it was nice hearing him talk). Qu Qian knows a lot about cooking which came from helping one of his sisters run a restaurant with his aunt and cousins before joining the army. He had two sisters one was his identical twin, Qu Yu, who he'd help in the restaurant and the other, his older sister, Qu Xiao was currently in a brothel under contract for another year, he said he hoped be one of the first people to greet her home when it was over.

Qu Qian's P.O.V

I found it quite fun talking with Ling Hua about food and telling him about how much a adored my sisters, it was a little hard to stare right at him from the side since his jade earring reflected the sun right into my eyes but I didn't focus on that, I focused on how handsome he looked when he smiled. Wait what the fuck am I thinking!? My parents would kill if I fell in love with a man!I tried to hide my surprise from crossing my face but I think Ling Hua saw because something like worry flashed in his eyes.
