"Are you coming tonight, Kent?" Annie asks me from across my apartments kitchen island.

Jordan, Leo, Logan, and Annie decided to come over for dinner tonight. Like almost every other day, they dropped in unexpectedly. I usually would mind the social interaction but I don't mind with them since they're my best friends.

Jordan is easily my best friend. We went to high school together in North Carolina. While he, his mom, and two younger brothers grew up on the poor side of town I was the opposite. But that has never gotten in the way of our friendship.

Elijah, or more commonly known as 'Leo', Logan, and Annie have lived in Honolulu for the entirety of their lives. When Jordan and I came into freshman year of college we met Logan and soon all became super close friends.

Jordan is your stereotypical African American. He came from scrounging around for money to going to college to make his momma proud. He's always been blunt and rather painfully serious.

Logan and Annie are the power couple. We've always joked around about how they're mine, Leo, and Jordan's parents. Logan is the music geek of the group. He loves anything and everything music.

Annie on the other hand is the girliest girl I've ever met. When I went into my first day of statistics she sat next to me despite everyone avoid me. She is currently studying to become a fashion designer.

Leo is like the kid of our group - or better fitting baby of the group. Don't tell him I said that because he will kill me. Not that I'm scared of him because I would win within a second. Nevertheless, Leo is the jokester of the group and never fails to make someone laugh.

"Where are you going?" I ask, leaning on my forearms.

"To the Sunny Bar." Leo answers. The Sunny Bar is a small bar downtown that is right on the beach. Which means there's usually a lot of people there - yuck. There's also love performances that are never actually good.

"That's a no-"

"Come on man!" Jordan slaps a hand on my shoulder, "I'm even going."

I stare at him with confusion, "and that supposed to mean?" Jordan goes out almost every other night.

He shrugs his shoulders while walking past me to get something out of my fridge. How the hell is he still hungry? We just ate. "Just one night Kent." Logan says leaning back on the kitchen stools.

We all watch him fall backwards onto the floor. "Every time!" He shouts from the floor.

The commotion gets a chuckle out of me. Almost every single time they come over, Logan falls off of the black stools I have. And it's not like I've changed them in the past four years.

I pick up my phone and water bottle heading over to my grey couch. Leo follows me and sits on the coffee table staring right into my eyes. "This isn't gay." I remark.
