Jasper startled awake with a loud gasp, alerting Leon and Ashley. Upon regaining consciousness, he found himself lying down on the sterile chair with three robotic arms hovering above him. Jasper turned his head to the side and his fatigue brown eyes met Leon's glossy blue ones. "Leon," he uttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Relief washed over Leon and he let out a choked sob of emotion. "Jasper!" He wasted no time to engulf him into a longing embrace, holding him tightly, afraid he would disappear if he let go. "I thought you left me," Leon sobbed, his voice muffled against Jasper's shoulder. "I thought I lost you."
Jasper let out a faint chuckle of amusement, gently resting his hand on Leon's head, his touch warm and reassuring. "You're not getting rid of me that easy," he murmured.
Letting out a soft laugh, Leon pulled away from his shoulder before his lips sought Jasper's in a deep and longing kiss. As they broke apart, their breaths mingled as they pressed their foreheads together, relishing in each other's warmth.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, the two agents pulled apart and Leon helped him stand up from the sterile chair. Jasper staggered a bit, but he quickly recovered. He looked around the laboratory and spotted Ashley standing behind Leon, beaming at the sight of him. "You're OK!" Ashley rushed over and wrapped her arms around in a comforting embrace. "I knew you would make it!"
"Thanks." Jasper offered a small and comforting smile as he returned the hug before they broke apart. He took a moment to scan Ashley's healthy and uninfected form. "You look better now."
"Yeah. It really worked," Ashley nodded gleefully.
"Well, I'm glad that you guys are OK now." Jasper observed the laboratory for a moment and turned to the computer. "Is that a map?" He asked, noticing a map placed near the computer.
"Yeah, I found it," Ashley replied as she retrieved the paper before showing it to Jasper and Leon. "I think it says we can get out if we go... this way." She pointed at the red circle drawn on the crinkled paper.
"If that's so, then we should get going," Jasper declared as he pocketed the map and the two nodded in agreement.
Ashley hesitantly asked, "Hey. We're a team, right?"
Leon and Jasper exchanged a glance before Jasper spoke, "Of course we are. We stick together, no matter what."
"But keep this up? We'll be out of the job," Leon added with a playful smirk, causing Ashley to beam at the two of them.
"So... all of this? Removing the parasites... This was Luis?" Ashley wondered, observing the laboratory around her.
"Yeah. We're alive. Thanks to him," Leon confirmed.
Jasper decided to explore more of the laboratory, looking for any useful items he can grab. He spotted an old picture on a metal table, covered in dust. He picked up the picture and carefully wiped the dust away with his back hand, revealing a group photo of scientists.
