"AND ALL THE GIRLS DREAMED THAT THEY'D BE YOUR PARTNER, THEY'D BE YOUR PARTNER!"

Juliet was having what one would call, a me day. She had her favorite candles lit, and her favorite snacks laid out on the table. Her favorite romance movies played on her TV as she danced around the kitchen singing into her spatula.

She hadn't had one of these days since forever where she did nothing but care for herself. Her toenails were freshly painted and her wine collection had been rampaged. She was merely enjoying herself while she was somewhat stress-free.

Her home was filled with the sweet aromas of her warm vanilla candles mixed with the scent of her cooking that radiated off of the stove. The warm orange hue of her lamps and candles combined made her home feel cozier, more homely.

Her sock-clad feet danced and tiptoed around the tiled floor of her kitchen as she spun in circles, trying to replicate moves that she had seen in the movies. Her silk pajama set flowed with her as she moved gracefully - it wasn't graceful at all.

"You're so vain!" She wasn't going to float her own boat and say her singing was any good but she was home alone and no one was listening, so it didn't matter. "I bet you think this song is about you."

The hair in front of her face restricted her view, the aggressive jump dancing from early pushing it across her face, and the pajamas were slightly disheveled from the dancing. This in turn meant that she had no awareness of her surroundings.

"Nice singing, a bit pitchy for my taste but hey, what do I know about singing." A voice sounded from the walkway into her kitchen, enticing a loud shriek from the girl. Her hand dropped the spatula that she had been previously holding and flew to her face to cover her mouth.

Her gaze shifted to where the voice had come from, her eyes landing on the figure, his body leaning against the frame of the archway with his arms linked across his chest as he smirked, finding joy in the chaos he had caused.

"What the fuck are you doing here!" Juliet yelled, her heart still racing.

"Surprising you, duh." He rolled his eyes, "Besides, you weren't answering your phone which I now understand why."

Juliet quickly picked up the spatula she had dropped and launched it in his general direction - missing by several feet - which only forced the smirk on his face to widen to the point where she debated whether it was a smile at that point.

"Fiesty."

"Just annoyed with your existence."

Despite the grimace that was on her face as she said it, Lando knew it was far from the truth. That was the thing with Julie, she was amongst one of the easiest people to read. Her emotions were clear on her face, he could see the truth in her eyes as they sparkled under the light.

He pushed himself off the wall and unraveled his arms as he spoke, "Nah, you love me. So, what's the plans." He rested against the counter next to her, his back facing the counter as he stared at her focusing on her food.

"Well, MY plans were to have a girl day for myself," She batted her eyelids, "But you're more than welcome to come and join me with face masks and nail polish."

"Eh, better than being bored at home." Lando shrugged his shoulders before grabbing the charcuterie board she had prepared and took it over to the lounge.

Juliet couldn't help but stare, her lips threatening to curve upwards into a smile as she watched him. Was she shocked that he wanted to spend time with her doing girly things? Certainly. But she was more shocked at the feelings that fluttered around in her stomach.

She had spent this whole time convincing herself that he saw her as nothing more than a friend, only for him to reverse it all in one simple interaction. Was she doomed or was she just in love?
