"I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I'M FEELING TWENTY-TWO!"
The music was loud and the blaring disco lights resembled somewhat of an epileptic rave. Juliet could feel the alcohol coursing through her veins and her body as she danced around the room. She had to remember to apologize to her neighbors tomorrow when she wasn't drunk out of her mind.
The party was in full swing and Juliet couldn't be happier.
Practically everyone from the F1 grid had shown up to celebrate her 22nd birthday - a meager number if you asked her but Lily made sure it would be special - You could probably imagine Juliet's surprise when Lewis Hamilton knocked on her door. Her mouth had swung open and her body refused to move. Lily Z had to gently move her out of the way before welcoming the 7-time world champion into her home.
Without making a short story long, Juliet had successfully completed any and all life goals that she and her father had ever created. All while celebrating herself.
She turned to look at the two women dancing next to her, smiling as they latched onto her hands and brought her closer. The three of them jumped and danced around as the music in their hearts beat in sync, signifying the union of three sisters who were not bound by blood but by love.
This was everything Juliet had ever wanted and more. To be surrounded by those who had your best interests at heart was to be loved, to be cared for. Even if they tormented you with their horrible singing.
As the final tune of the song ended and Juliet's throat was all but scratched from her vicious attempt at hitting notes that were beyond her ability, she lightly tapped Lily M's shoulder and spoke loudly to try, "I'm going to get some water! Need anything to drink?"
She made hand movements which he assumed would help Lily understand what she was saying but she only stared at her with confusion and shrugged her shoulders. Juliet merely smiled before gesturing it was okay and began making her way to the kitchen.
The closer she got to the entryway and kitchen, the clearer and quieter the rooms began to become, giving her some peace from the ever-loud crowd that had formed.
The air held a particular chill that contrasted with the heat that radiated from the body-filled living room just a few doors away. Her ears felt as though they had been muffled as she relished in the serenity her kitchen provided. It wasn't often that she organized parties or attended them in general, so to have one in her home with people she idolized but had yet to meet was something that she had yet to process.
