Half a year since the passing of Queen Aemma Arryn, Viserys named their child Rheanyra, heir and not much has changed, especially since the juicy gossip speculated the Red Keep of Geralt rejecting to marry Rheanyra. A scandal.

Unabashedly, people ran their tongues like a treadmill, the realm talked about it for weeks. Some accepted the idea, others frowned on it.

Without an ounce of shame, haters and gossips: Lily Florent, Clara Mallister, Gianna Strong, Edwina Tarly, Penelope Beesbury, and even Jocelyn Darklyn silently mocked and, made jest whenever Princess Rheanyra crossed paths with them. Snakes hissing behind her back in jibe.

Everyone knew of the disposed marriage between the King's children, and this caused Rheanyra a huge turmoil. Such a shame to be rejected by the most sort after bachelor in the Seven Kingdoms. Appalling.

Nonetheless, despite his sister being crowned heir, Geralt didn't show any ounce of envy nor jealousy, the Witcher dutifully continued to attend small council meetings, shared his thoughts, wisdoms and ideas, minding his own business.

Often, Viserys waivered to renounce Rheanyra's claim and name Geralt heir, but he felt something holding him back to observe his son's actions, if he proves worthy, bare children of his own accord and doesn't act defiant towards the crown, then he'll name him the new heir, for now, let Rheanyra assume that duty.

Nevertheless, the talks of King Viserys remarrying and Geralt's search for a wife, shook the Seven Kingdoms.

Each day, the realm keeps holding their breath to see which two women are to marry into House Targaryen. Every high born from the eminent families, to the least lowborn girl, all sent proposals to the capital vying for the King and Prince's hand in marriage.

The maidens at court never cease to flatter their eye lashes towards the father and son, all dressing to kill, outshining each other to be the next Queen consort or Princess of House Targaryen.

Lord Strong and Lord Beesbury even, offered their daughter's hand to the Witcher, but Geralt only went on a promenade with them and never proposed marriage nor declaration of betrothal, same routine with other prospects. Geralt's action keeps becoming difficult for Viserys to accept.

In the West, House Tully offered their only daughter, Lady Katherine Tully.

In the South, House Tyrell offered their only daughter Lady Margaery Tyrell.
