I found myself facing a choice between slowly decaying or becoming a meal. Just then, I spotted two figures walking amidst the plants. Were they human and elf? They appeared to be gathering the type of plants found in this area.

Oh, it's a vegetable similar to those on Earth, but in a different form and color. That's odd, but my potato-like body has produced many of them. As I watched them busily harvesting, a wrinkled object rolled before me and hit me like a ball.

"Ouch, be careful!" I blurted out as if I could communicate, although I knew it wasn't possible.

A small figure emerged, crouching to retrieve the ball. I gazed at it and noticed it had the features of an Elf and a human. I think it's a mix of the two. I can now tell, judging by its ears, that she's a cute little girl with long yellow hair; it's reminiscent of the characters in a game I used to play, a half-human and half-elf. It's my first time encountering something like this. Without hesitation, I attempted to ask her if she could understand me.

"Hi," I said.

I couldn't believe it! The little girl stared at me, and before I knew it, she reached down and plucked me from the soil.

"Ahhhh!!" I screamed.

"You talked?" she said, eyes wide with surprise.

"Yes, I can talk! Do you understand me?" I asked, hope sparkling in my eyes

"Yes, I can talk! Do you understand me?" I asked, hope sparkling in my eyes.

"Hmm, yes, it's weird. I've never talked to a plant before. You're different," in response, studying me.

"Really? Can you hide me from them?" I pleaded, pointing to the people harvesting nearby.

"Sure, I'll keep you. I'll bring you home," in response

As she scooped me up, we ran to her house. She took me upstairs, locked the door, and placed me gently in a potted plant near a window.

"Thank you! You saved my life! What's your name?" I asked, settling into the soil.

"I'm Elica," she said, her face full of warmth.

"I'm Ed-" I stopped. I realized that my earthly name was no longer helpful; I needed to create a new name here.

"I'm Maloi," I said politely.

"Are you a God or something?" she asked, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.

"No, do I look like a god in this form?" I responded.

"But you're different, maybe even special," she mused.

"If I'm special, why am I so helpless right now?" I lamented.

She gently placed her finger on top of me, like one would pet a tiny creature, and it felt strangely comforting.

"Don't worry, I'm here. You're my friend now, right?" she said, her excitement palpable.

"Yes, of course! Let's be friends!" I exclaimed, filled with joy.

We often talk about how I exist in her world, exchanging stories and information to understand the world I live in. As night fell, she abruptly called her family for dinner.

"I'll be back, and I'll bring you food," she said.

"No, that won't be necessary. All I need is sun and water," I replied. Her smile was warm as she hurried downstairs.

Later that night, I looked out the window at the beautiful sky filled with sparkling stars. As a shooting star streaked across the sky, I made a wish: "I want to enjoy my life." Suddenly, shimmering lights of different colors appeared, creating a magical sight.

I experienced an inexplicable warmth and drifted into a deep slumber. When I awoke, I found myself in a surreal, infinite landscape, with my naked body reflected in calm waters. As I gazed at the horizon, I sensed a warm white aura behind me. To my surprise, I turned around to find a figure shrouded in a glowing white aura mirroring my every move.

"You are Me," I uttered.

"Me, are you?" the figure responded

"Me, are you?" the figure responded.

Suddenly, the figure merged into me, and I jolted awake, bewildered by the vivid dream. As I gathered my thoughts, I gazed out the window at the vast field. Startled, I noticed Elica waking up in her bed.

"How's your sleep?" she inquired.

"It felt like I slept for six nights," I replied.

"You know what, I have someone in mind who can assist you," she mentioned.

"Who might that be?" I inquired.

"A Mage," she revealed.

"A Mage, eh? Now that's intriguing. Can we arrange a meeting?" I asked.

"Absolutely! I'm certain he'll be eager to help," she responded.

Eager to meet this mage and intrigued by the prospect, I readily agreed. Once Elica had completed her tasks in her house, we embarked on our journey to meet the mage.
