After the decisive coastal landing and victory by the Umayyads, Ja'far would find himself in a transport to a local outpost set up the Umayyads in the ongoing war in Hispania.. As the horses closed onto the location, he'd notice his brother. ''Ya Sufyan!'' He'd scream while laughing. Sufyan turned and recognized his brother almost instantly, now charging at him. Ja'far was now pulled off his horse by Sufyan to the ground as his brother hugged him closely. ''And here I thought you died you idiot!'' Sufyan chuckled. ''Did you really have to throw me off?!'' Ja'far added. The two shared a laugh as they helped each other up.. as they turned to face the horse they realized Asma had just awoken and looked at both of them like they were crazy.
Sufyan slowly turned his head towards Ja'far ''Who's this?'' He'd look towards Sufyan ''I don't know.. she looks like one of us.. I told them to dress her with fresh clothes..'' Ja'far now stepped up, lifting his arms up, signaling Asma to let him help her down.
Asma would allow Ja'far to place her on the ground, she was shivering and his touch helped her feel better.. Sufyan spoke out to Asma ''What's your name sister?'' Asmas voice was shaky, but she managed to speak ''Asma.. Bint Ubaidah..'' Sufyan paused ''Ubaidah Ibn Khaleed?'' Asma nodded slowly.. Sufyan looked towards Ja'far.. ''She's an Umayyad Princess.'' Ja'far looked towards him as well, when they both faced back to Asma she had vanished. ''Asma?'' Ja'far would shout out. ''Go look over there Ja'far! I'll look back here!'' Sufyan shouted as he jogged off towards the outskirts of the outpost in the south. Ja'far now jogged towards the northern outskirts..
He'd brush past tall grass, finding it hard to see in the dark.. He'd now find a small little pond as he'd look over, noticing Asma crying by a tree. He'd walk over, kneeling down by her.. ''It's okay.. I am here.. We'll get you home.'' Ja'far would try to comfort her.. but what he said made her kick her feet and back away.. she didn't want to go back to the parents she had, nor did she want to stay here.. she was panicking. Ja'far was debating on what to do.. he'd look around the razed ground due to the war, but would notice a single alive flower.. It was white, and bright.. He'd grasp it's stem, ripping it out off the terrain, then bringing it over to Asmas eye of sight. ''Look.. it matches your dress and veil..'' Asma slowly looked up, wiping her tears with heir dresses covering before grasping the flower from Ja'fars hand.
Asma now let out a single word in a soft voice ''Beautiful..'' Ja'far would smile.. feeling something deep within his heart, that he had never felt before.. He now stood up, offering his hand. Asma extended her arm, taking his hand as he helped her up. Asma now spoke up.. ''I don't want to go.. back there.. Ja'far..'' She'd say his name, hearing it from Sufyan. Ja'far was confused.. he'd now prepare his response for Asma '' But why.. your family is there.. and you're a princess..'' Asma would tear up a bit before responding ''Don't you even wonder how I ended up here? I'm oppressed and abused everyday there.. And there oppression somehow made me ended up her.. all the way in Hispania..'' Ja'far would scratch his head, he didn't know what to say.. he never talked with women before, and he barely ever talked with anyone besides Sufyan.. ''Maybe I can help you find a new family?''
Ja'far listed his idea.. Asma would respond almost instantly in a saddened voice. ''They'll all just turn me in to my former family for the reward of finding me..'' Ja'far would have a determined look in his eyes.. His life.. was simply just War, Sufyan, and exploring.. Though he loves these things.. he has been longing for something new in his heart.. a piece that was missing.. that the others couldn't replace.. ''You can come.. live with me and Sufyan? We never stay in one place.. so the locals won't know that we came in and out.. and I can get you new veils that cover you good..''
A smile formed on Asma.. she finally felt a true sense of hope ''That doesn't.. sound bad Ja'far..'' She'd smile up at him. Ja'far hid his face and it's redness, making Asma chuckle.. ''What did I do something funny?'' He'd try to play it off. Asma would smile every more ''No not at all.. don't worry.. Let's head back..'' Ja'far accepted her suggestion as the two walked side by side, a new bond had already formed.. and it was already strengthening..
What is this you're feeling Ya Ja'far?
