11. Third Phase x Psycho Clown

                YOU STAND ON A FLAT SURFACE WITH THE OTHER HUNTER APPLICANTS AS YOU AWKWARDLY TRY TO AVOID [M/NAME] STARE. "We are at the top of Trick Tower; this is where the third phase of the exam begins." the small man says as he holds a finger in the air. "For the exam itself, the examiners have informed me you all have 72 hours to reach the base of the tower alive," he says, and you look around the area a few times.

When you guys had boarded the airship, there were forty-two applicants, and now you can only count forty; you wondered if two didn't wake up in time or something.

"No windows... no steps." a man says as you curiously look down and whistle.

"It's steep," you note as the man beside you nods.

"Climbing down would be suicide." another man mutters as a well-toned man stands proudly.

"Sure, for most guys," he states proudly as you move out of his way, standing by Killua and Gon as he turns around to go down the tower. "Plenty of handholds for an expert rock climber like me."

"Wow," Killua says, looking down next to you, and you whistle.

"He's almost down!" Gon says as you hum.

"He's not going to make it," you say, pointing to the large bird-beasts rushing towards the tower, ripping him apart as blood splatters against the grey building.

"Guess that's not the best way down," Leorio mutters as you nod in agreement with your older brother.

"Look around; there might be a hidden door," Kurapika says as you gasp.

"There could be!" you yell in agreement, walking around the area as you feel yourself slipping on the floor, catching eyes with Gon as he gasps.

You hope this is nothing too dangerous.

GON RUNS TOWARDS LEORIO AS HE JUMPS OVER A TILE THAT ALMOST SUCKS HIM UNDER, "Leorio!" he yells, landing in front of him as he huffs, "the tiles turn." he whispers, dragging Leorio over to a tile, "and one of the took [Name]." he says as Leorio gasps, stepping on a tile as Kurapika follows and soon Gon and Killua follow in suit, the four boys falling through the floor together.

Leorio was the first to fall on his face, but surprisingly, the first to get up as well as he looked around.

"Where's [Name]!?" he yells, looking for you as Kurapika sighs.

"It seems like we all get different areas. Just hope they're not alone— or maybe do hope." Kurapika says as Killua shoves his hands in his pockets.

"[Name] doesn't seem weak. Stronger than this guy," he says, pointing at Leorio, who groans, stomping his foot.

"Killua! You don't get it— it's not that [Name]'s weak!" he yells, frustrated as a yell interrupts their conversation, and Tonpa falls on Leorio almost comedically.

"What have you four been doing?" Tonpa asks as Leorio lets out a long groan.

"Oh, just kill me!" he screams, pulling at his hair as he shoves Tonpa off of him; all Leorio needs to do is pass this exam and see you— you wouldn't die on him.

YOU NERVOUSLY LOOK AT HISOKA, who stares at you like he wants to eat you. You bite the inside of your cheek as you back up into a wall, and a wristband drops to the floor as you pick it up and look at a note on the board.
