[1 month passed after that day. Works engulfed Veera totally. One such day, while at home Veera was drowned in his desktop.]

[VEERA'S WORKING ROOM]

[The time was 4:45 pm.]

[He was in his working room which is attached to his bedroom. He was seated in an Ergonomic Chair, wearing a black Solid crew full sleeves T-shirt, paired with black regular fitted Trouser and the sleeves were curved up to his elbow.]

[Veera's desk was a fortress of technology. There were 3 different monitor screens. The screens were filled with various open windows: surveillance footage, encrypted communications, and detailed reports from the field. The desk itself was cluttered with sticky notes, pens, and a mug that filled with cold coffee.]

[The blue glow of the monitors illuminated his face, highlighting the determination in his eyes. His fingers flew over the keyboard, inputting data and analyzing information with precision.]

[He paused for a moment, leaning back in his chair and rubbing his eyes.]

[Suddenly his phone buzzed and Veera answered the call.]

[In voice call]

Veera: Just waiting for your call.

[Veera connect the call with his airpods and put the phone on the table.]

[A male voice]

Person: Oh! Really! SENIOR?

Veera: Oh! Come on, Parth. Don't be such a formal.

Parth: (laughing) Okay okay. Let's come to the main topic.

Veera: Hmm. Tell me. What happened?

Parth: Madhav Sir told me to inform you to check the informations of the Hotel.

Veera: Hotel!

Parth: 'Hotel Oberoi'.

Veera: Ahhh... Yes yes. Sir was talking about it yesterday.

Parth: Did you checked?

Veera: No, not yet.

Parth: Veera! You know naa that we've to go there tomorrow?

Veera: Ok ok. I'm opening the files now. (After a pause) Madhav sir gave me a pen drive.

Parth: Alright, Veera, where's the microchip now?(crackled voice)

Veera: It should be here, Parth. I mean, where else would it be?

[His eyes scanned the chaotic mess of his working room. He made his way to the coffee table, knocking over a stack of magazines in the process. With a loud crash, a pile of National Geographics cascaded onto the floor.]

Parth: Careful there, Veera. We don't need a landslide.

Veera: Ha-ha, very funny.

Parth: Alright, Veera, where did you last see it?

Veera: swear I left it on my table. It was right next to my coffee mug.

[He moved to the coffee table and started shifting through piles of papers, magazines, and random gadgets. As he reached for a stack of newspapers, his elbow knocked over a half-empty cup of coffee, spilling it across the table.

Veera: (grining and screaming) Great, just great.

Parth: You're sure it's there?

Veera: Positive. Or maybe... maybe I took it to the kitchen when I got up for a snack.

Parth: Ohhh God! Veera. Seriously!!

[Veera walked into the kitchen which was downstairs. He rummaged through the kitchen counter, opening and closing drawers. He found an impressive collection of mismatched utensils, old receipts, and expired coupons, but no pendrive.

Veera: (to himself)Think, Veera, think! (Scratching his messy hair) How can you lost such an important thing?

[Parth, still on the line, sighed.]

Parth: How about your bedroom? Maybe you took it there to keep it safe?

Veera: Good idea.

[He headed towards the bedroom. As he opened the door, he stepped on a toy car, sending him skidding across the room and crashing into the wardrobe.]

Parth: You okay there, Veera? (in amusement)

Veera: Just a toy car.

Parth: Toy car!!?

Veera: Oh! Just shut up!

[Frustrated, he plopped down on his bed, which caused the mattress to shift. Suddenly, something small and hard poked him through the sheets.

Veera: Wait a second... (lifting the mattress). (After a sec) I found it! It was under the mattress.

Parth: Under your mattress? Veera, what were you doing, hiding it from yourself?(in a teasing tone)

Veera: Don't make a joke of me, Parth.

Parth: Only you, Veera. Only you could lose a pendrive in your own home.

Veera: Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good, right?(chuckling)

Parth: Okay now go through the informations and will see you tomorrow.

Veera: Yeah, bye.

[Parth cut the call.]

[Veera went to his working room again and took a seat. He inserted the pendrive and took a look at the files.]

[After analysing for 2 hours he felt very tired. So, he leaned back and closed his eyes. ]

[THE NEXT MORNING]

[HOTEL OBEROI]

[The time was 8:30 am.]

[Hotel Oberoi, a luxurious establishment known for hosting high-profile events. The hotel's architecture was a blend of traditional elegance and modern luxury. Its towering facade overlooked the bustling cityscape, and the grand entrance, with its lavish decor, set the tone for the hotel's sophistication.]

[Veera arrived with his team. Veera, Parth, and two other agents, Raghav and Nisha, stepped out of a black Mahindra Thar, they were professionally alert. 3 of them were equipped with advanced surveillance equipment, communication devices, and concealed weapons. Veera was wearing a tactical dark olive shirt paired with tactical dark grey pants, sleeves twisted to his elbow, his black quartz on his left wrist and black tactical hiking boots.]

Veera: (addressing the team) Alright, everyone. This is a high-stakes operation. We need to ensure that the security measures are impenetrable for tomorrow's meeting. Let's split up and cover all critical areas.

Parth: (nodding) Got it. I'll take the main entrance and lobby area.

Raghav: I'll handle the perimeter and parking garage.

Nisha: I'll cover the guest floors and staff access points.

Veera: Good. I'll coordinate with the hotel's security and check the surveillance system. (Very professionally) Stay in constant communication and report any anomalies immediately.

[Raghav and Nisha left. But Veera approached Parth once again.]

Veera: Ummm..... Parth... Listen to me once.

Parth: (coming close to him) Hmmm?
