AnnabelleSleeping was impossible. Even though Colton wasn't my real mate he still helped me with comfort and was their for me, not to mention the chemistry and love we felt for each other. I tossed again in my sleep. Picturing what was probably happening to him twisted my stomach in knots. The fight was tomorrow or later today it was now 1:24. In the morning. My eyes were wide open and Isabelle was restless also. My mind kept re-playing the scene from earlier , I cannot believe I actually cried in Logan's arms. Without Colton my feelings are completely haywire. I got up out of bed tired of trying to sleep. Walking into my bathroom I took in my appearance in my bathroom mirror. My eyes were slightly swollen and a little pink around the edges. My normally green eyes were slightly dull and incredibly bloodshot. My curls were arranged in a sloppy bun and my face seemed transparent with bags hanging under my eyes. I looked away from myself and walked toward my bathtub. Setting the water on hot and turning on the jets, I stripped before climbing in. The warm water calmed my nerves and relaxed my muscles. The jets pounding on my back felt almost like a little massage. My head rested on the back of the tub and my eyes closed on their own accord, before I fell into a mystifying dream.
*Dream*
I was walking in a meadow. This meadow reminded me of the one I stumbled across when I had run away from Dark Crescent moon pack. There was a difference though. This meadow was covered in deep blue flowers of all kinds. The moon was shining a white so bright it was almost silver. It was also a full moon. Suddenly the atmosphere shifted. I wasn't alone. I turned to my right and gasped at the beautiful lady before me. She had long silver hair and her skin was so pale it looked white. Her eyes were a stunning dark blue. She was flawless and she was smiling in a sad way at me.
"Dear, this is not exactly a dream. It's somewhat real except your body isn't actually here with us.-"
I stared confused but she continued. Her eyes casting downward and her smile turning into a frown.
"I understand this will confuse you, but Annabelle I must remove Colton's mark from you."
My eyes felt ablaze with fury. No way in hell was this lady doing so. Her smile was tugging at her lips again. What did she find so amusing? I thought sarcastically.
"Annabelle, I am not just some lady. I am the moon goddess in case you haven't figured that out. I must do this, you will not want to deal with the pain later. You will suffer great loss Annabelle and this must be done. I am sorry." My mouth opened in question.
Before anything could come out I felt a searing pain across my neck. A scream left my lips and my eyes snapped shut. I fell to my knees the pain was to much. The pain left as abruptly as it came. I looked up at the moon goddess with tears in my eyes. Why would she do this?
"I'm sorry child. I also un-did the mating. It's best this way trust me." She got on her knees next to me and wiped the tears away from my cheeks.
"Until next time Annabelle. I'll see you soon."
She stood up and walked away. I was going to stand, and call out to her, but I felt like I was falling. My body felt light and airy as I slipped under.
*end*
I jolted up and saw the water I was sitting in. It was still slightly warm, but that's not what was on my mind. I drained the water and shot up and towards the mirror. I moved my drenched hair to the side and examined my neck. I looked everywhere but couldn't find Colton's mark on my neck, the thing that bonded me to him. I suddenly felt empty. Tears pooled in my eyes. Colton. His mark. Gone.
