KASSIDY'S heart had stopped beating, she was sure of it. All eyes had landed on either her, or Peter. Since she was on the ground, she was an easier target.

"Murderer!" somebody yelled.

The crowd closed in, yelling an array of insults and questions towards the girl. Kassidy attempted to back up, but was stopped dead by the chest of another person.

"She killed Mysterio!" a man exclaimed, trying to force his way through the crowd. "I heard it!"

Kassidy attempted to push her way through the crowd, worried that if she used her powers, she would cause a whole new problem. Somebody's hand landed on her arm, yanking her forward slightly. She pulled away, but the man that had her in his grip was strong.

Peter landed outside of the crowd and began pushing his way through. "Hey, sir, don't touch her!" he exclaimed, taking the man's hand off of Kassidy's arm.

Peter wrapped an arm around the girls waist protectively, trying to place himself between Kassidy and anybody who tried to come at them again. It was proving to be difficult, however, when they were completely surrounded.

"You guys are just kids!"

"They're murderers is what they are!" a woman exclaimed, her phone up and recording.

"No- uh, no, we're not-," Peter stammered, his eyes darting around the crowd.

The woman lunged towards Kassidy, her hand open as if to grab at her. "Woah!" Kassidy exclaimed, trying to avoid her hand.

Peter pushed her hand away before his other arm tightened its grip around Kassidy's waist. The woman began to yell out into the crowd, claiming that Peter had hit her. Before anybody else could attack them, Peter had slung them away into the air.

Kassidy, although she hated swinging, was grateful for Peter's quick getaway. The girl felt somebodies hand make a grab for her ankle as they swung away from the scene, and when she looked over her shoulder, she saw a man falling to the ground after lunging at the duo.

"Peter!" Kassidy exclaimed, her voice frantic. "Where are we supposed to go?"

"I don't know!" Peter replied. "Back to your house?"

"No!" Kassidy denied, shaking her head. "Lead them directly to Pepper and Morgan? I don't think so."

Peter slung them higher into the air before landing atop of a bridge. He let go of Kassidy before pulling his phone from his pocket. Kassidy was moments away from tipping over backwards, but she pushed a couple spurts of energy from her hands to balance herself.

Across the small beam, Kassidy could hear Ned yelling through Peter's phone. With an impatient sigh, Peter had hung up the phone.

"Is there any way we can get to your place without anybody tailing us?" she asked as Peter re-approached her.
