CHAPTER THIRTEEN
February of Grade 10...
Everything goes on so fast to the point that I can't even believe it's February already.
Everything feels so surreal. Parang kamakailan lang, grade seven ako. It's unbelievable. Everything goes on so fast, I can't even comprehend everything.
Basta ang alam ko, I can handle everything, kahit pa gaano kabilis o kabagal 'yan!
"OMG, same!" exclaimed Nina. She looked at Hayeigh who was holding a piece of paper. "Si Lei kasi, mawawalay sa 'tin... magii-STEM ba naman!" she added, her voice was laced with sultry.
I mean, pareho lang naman kami ng set-up ni Javi this year. I don't even know what's the point of sulking over that...
Sometimes, I feel like meron hindi sinasabi sa akin ang dalawang 'to. May something ba? Tinanong ko kay Javai pero he just shrugged it off. Wala naman daw "iba" sa kanila, but I don't think so. There's definitely something.
I looked at the paper I'm holding. My name's written there and the strand I want—HUMSS. I somewhat felt fulfilled. Alam kong wala pa naman pero, I can't wait! I'm just so excited.
Pinamigay sa amin 'to ng guidance counselor, it's for our immersion sa senior high. Magsi-sit-in daw kami sa senior high for a day para maranasan namin kung ano ang mga nangyayari sa isang klase sa senior high. Para daw prepared kami for senior high.
I'm lowkey excited!
"Just pass me the paper kapag na-fill up-an n'yo na 'yan." Ms. Mangahas, our guidance counselor said.
"Ikaw? STEM kukunin mo 'di ba?"
"Oo, gano'n din sila Akira."
I thought so. As far as I know, AK's following the steps of his father who is a civil engineer, kaya STEM ang kukunin niyang strand.
Kahit anong laki pa ng sweldo, taking up Engineering is like a suicidal mission for me. I could never!
