i turned off my phone and rested my whole body down the hospital bed.

they really hit my head real hard and it hurts like crap.

i sighed & clenched my fists. that was when i heard voices coming from outside the hospital room.

"why weren't you at school?!"

"you shouldn't get involved with him starting from now on. airi, go home." i heard her brother's stern voice.

i don't know why, but i felt guilty. i looked down at my bandaged palms.

maybe i just bring trouble to her..

"tch. now i have bad luck." i mumbled to myself & ruffled my hair in annoyance. i didn't care about other people's feelings but why do i care for hers?

the door of the room suddenly opened, revealing a young police officer.

"you feeling better?" airi's brother asked.

i nodded, trying to ignore what i evesdropped earlier.

"i'm leaving now. airi went home already." he informed, walking out the door.

"and i would like to ask you to distance yourself from my sister." he added with a frown. "if you don't want to, then you better change and don't involve her in your fights." he said again with a stern face before closing the door.

"tch." i hissed to myself & harshly put my phone down.

i rested my bandaged head and stared blankly at the ceiling. lowkey wishing someone would still visit me though

seconds and minutes passed & i slowly closed my eyes, ready to sleep and face tomorrow.

i hope i can get off this bed tomor-

"I MADE IT" my eyes shot open when the door busted open, revealing a panting airi.

"what the fuck are you doing here?!" i asked, abruptly sitting up, earning for my head to hurt.

"a-ah." i held onto it and stared at airi in disbelief.

"i know you said you don't want to see me but i don't respect you. here." she gave me the box of chocolate she was holding.

"better appreciate that. i ran all the way here, also finding time to buy that at a convenience store." she crossed her arms.

"i didn't tell you to go here and buy me this. get out." i said in a cold voice.

she scoffed, "calm down, dude. what are you so mad about"

"get out." i repeated, emphasizing those two words.

she rolled her eyes and gave in. "don't come crying to me if you need help." she said before walking out.

as if i need your help.

i looked down at the sticky note pasted on the chocolate box.

"hope you get well, sorry."

i softened a little bit. but i still need to go away from her life.
