It had been an entire week since the meeting and Chatty took Ursula's suggestion very seriously. Ray had been sleeping at the Chang Gang house in a room that she shared with April and Novah. Meanwhile, Chatty had been staying at Sooty's house. Both of them were avoiding being alone on their own.
The Clowns followed the strict buddy system that they placed, surprisingly even Lily. They knew how serious their leaders were and if they were ever caught lacking and alone, they knew they'd be in trouble with their King... especially, their Queen. Chang Gang, on the other hand, has been keeping an eye on Dundee and BBMC just in case they try to help Bobby.
Chatty bought the house that she wanted in Paleto Drive. Although he wanted the two of them to stay there, he wasn't fully comfortable being there without security.
Chatty and Ray would see each other every single day for a few hours, hang out, and do some clown yuck. But, there was that lingering worry and anxiety and rage whenever they did. He didn't want her to get hurt and she worried that he'd feel as if he was responsible for everything.
He just wants her to be happy and he'd be happy if she was. So, for the past week, he'd been grinding, doing jobs, and earning money for something he wanted to surprise her with. When he told a few people about the surprise, they were willing to help. When she was spending her time with Novah back at the Chang Gang house, Chatty gathered all the money and bought it.
He had surprised her with a key and they've been spending their time in Paleto house with Kirk and Twinkles. They couldn't spend their time there while alone due to the fact that someone might catch them lacking. So, with having to be with other people for an extended amount of time, they haven't spent so much time with the two of their own.
Chatty had been itching to have a one-on-one time with his Cups. So, he invited her to go on a quick date with her. Just a quick one. Just the two of them. Just what they both needed. He picked her up from the Chang Gang house at Grove Street. She waved at him from the foyer before hugging Vinny and waving bye at her Dad. She jumped into the car with him and immediately kissed his masked cheek.
"Hi!" She sounded so cheerful and energetic.
He beamed at her underneath his mask, "Hi!"
"Hi!"
"Hi!"
"I missed you," she admitted.
"Missed you, too," he hummed, stroking her cheek with his gloved hand. He was wearing her favorite outfit on him– the dark gray button-up with a pair of red trousers, his favorite Oxford shoes, and a pair of suspenders with a red bowtie that she liked. She was wearing her red and black checkered corset top with a black mini skirt, black tights, and a pair of sneakers. She had her bunny mask in her hand and her hair in her usual braids.
"You look great," Chatty told her as he started driving away from Grove Street and to Snr Buns to grab some food before they went on their simple and quick date.
Ray raised her eyebrows, "Just great?"
"You look spectacular," Chatty hummed.
She narrowed her eyes at him, "Just spectacular?"
"You look beautiful!" Chatty widened his eyes underneath his mask.
"Just beautiful?!" Ray scoffed.
"What am I saying wrong here?" Chatty complained.
Ray pursed her lip and rolled her eyes, "Never mind."
Chatty tilted his head at her before parking the car in the lot outside Snr Buns. She was about to get out when he pulled her wrist back, lifting his mask with another hand, and kissing her jaw, "Did you want me to say that you look hot?"
