  Chapter 3: His last resort and the brothers' conflicted mind

  Ark was at his room, thinking of a way to get back to Lloyd. He keep trying to think but nothing came up.....maybe the gods was punishing him for escaping his first life, so they had sent him back?....maybe.... But still he needs to find ways to get back.....if only he didn't die....

That's it!

He just have to die again! When he died on his first life, this lead him to be transported to his second life and then he died again and was transported back here....maybe he needs to die again to be transported back to it too?....it's worth a shot...

Ark then look behind him and saw his bedroom balcony, he then walk towards it as he look down from the railing....it's a little higher, but the higher the better for him! He then climb on top of the marble railing as he took a deep breath and then....

One of the maids was walking to do her chores in the garden when she saw something dropped infront of her as her eyes widen, seeing a body...blood was seeping out of it...she then realized who it was....no....

"Y- young Master Arkian?...." She asked horrifiedly as she saw his dull eyes and then...

"Ahhhhhh!!!!"  She screamed in horror and fear alerting other servants and running towards where the scream is, Xedric then saw the scene and almost puked.

"Quick!! Someone call a doctor! and inform Duke Lucius and Commander Alessio!! Young Master Arkian had attempted a suicide!!"

Everyone was in a state of panic for what had happened, the whole manor was bustling and when the doctor had arrived they quickly went to save Arkian.

Meanwhile on the other side of the Ducal house

  Lucius was busy working on ducal paperworks while Alessio was sitting on one of the couches inside Lucius' office when all of a sudden, a servant had opened panickedly the door

"My lords!" Shouted the servant anxiously making both Lucius and Alessio look at him before Lucius answered him while he continued doing the paperwork "you better have a good explanation for-" Lucius wasn't able to finished his sentence when the servant cut him off

"Young Master Ark....YOUNG MASTER ARKIAN COMMITTED SUICIDE!!" shouted the servant anxiously.

Lucius quickly stood up as Alessio followed suit, "what the hell do you mean he committed suicide?! How the hell no one noticed?!" Shouted Lucius angrily and anxiously.

'how the hell no one knew he committed suicide? Was no one watching over him? He should really replace the servants. They're incompetent.' Lucius thought angrily.

"Y-young master Arkian, he jumped off from his bedroom and one of the maids had only saw his body falling on the garden grounds." as the servant said this, Lucius quickly barked out orders "Call out the best doctors!! If he won't survived today, you're all dead!!"

The servants were afraid and quickly followed his orders as Lucius began to rub his temple out of stress and tiredness 'why did I panic?....I don't care about that brat...but something inside me felt the need to save him....what's gotten into me?' Alessio was watching on the side as he look at Lucius.

"You alright?...that was quite a scene...you usually don't give any care for that brat?..." Alessio asked confusingly, Lucius just sighed and shook his head.

"I don't know....but something tells me that this occurrence would happen again...we need to keep an eye on him" Alessio sighs before nodding too "You're right something in my guts were telling me that we're about to lose him" Alessio said helplessly also.

Both brothers were not really fond of Arkian when the late duke and duchess adopted him, Arkian was only 4 years old at that time and he tried everything to please both Lucius and Alessio but both of them despised him and would always secretly pull a prank at him so he would leave but Arkian would quietly just accept it and try again even if years had passed, he hadn't gave up until yesterday, when he greeted them with no familiarity or fondness just like greeting a stranger.

  That shouldn't trouble them, they want him to distance himself from them but why does it hurts so much when he did? That really confused them... It's like someone had stabbed them in the heart when he look at them with no warmth, no love, no softness  just plain unfamiliarity. They shouldn't allow that to happen...their hearts were also pinched when they saw that wretched maid pat his hair, they should have fired her or better yet....cut off her hand that that had touch him.

Lucius just sighs tiredly before looking at Alessio aloofly but inside he was anxious "we'll visit him later...." Alessio just nodded and continued his reading but he still can't focused too.

Light.... blinding light was the first thing Arkian saw when he slowly opened his eyes as he was still trying to grasped reality... 'is he in heaven? Its so bright'. He then look around the room and tried to get ahold of himself,  'is he with his big brother Lloyd now?' . He saw a blurry figure of a taller man making him smiled loopily "big brother Lloyd?" He asked happily but when his vision cleared he saw the dark look Lucius gave him making his eyes widened in fear as he feel the tension and anger that Lucius was omitting.

"Who the hell is Lloyd?"
