  Prologue: The End of everything

    "Arkian Theseus Decroix, you are hereby guilty of charged in poisoning Eros Sael and now sentenced to death, you are to be hanged for all to see!"

        

                 'Do i even have a say in this? Is this really my death?' As Ark was chained and was taken by guards to be lead to his death, he can't help but think where did it all go wrong, he didn't even do anything, he knows that by being to suspicious of Eros is gonna lead to something dangerous, he knows that! And now he was framed for doing nothing, Eros was poisoned and he was being judged at since his brothers knows that he don't like Eros but he didn't want to cause harm to him, he tried to explain his part and yet........

              And yet.....

NO ONE BELIEVED HIM

        He can see Lucius and Alessio standing next to the crowned prince, he can see the shame and disgust in Lucius eyes, the mockery in Alessio eyes while Helios was busy comforting the baron's son Eros Sael, Ark can see the hidden smile beneath that tears and was just broken.. He began to question his life until now......why? Why won't they believe him? Why did Eros has to frame him? Why did his brothers hate him? He should have stayed in orphanage......if only the duke and duchess didn't adopt him

        "I just have one question my lord......" As Ark say this you can see fear and nervousness in his voice, Lucius only casted a glance at him but doesn't say a word but you can see that he is telling Ark to ask his question faster
'Do......Do you care for me as your brother?' Ark already know the answer, he knows it in his heart,he knows they didn't care,he accepted that but still....he wants to hear it from them,Lucius stared at him coldly, you can see it in his blue eyes that he held no affection,but Ark was still hoping that maybe just maybe they care

Maybe just maybe

Maybe they like me just one bit?

Maybe they care......

Yeah....maybe......

There's still hope!

Maybe they-

"No"

That word..... that one single word shattered him,Ark was hurt but even so then, he still accepted it after all Alessio was right, he is a dirty thief, he knows he is stealing their parents love and attention. It wasn't meant for him, they only love him because he resembles the duchess a little bit, Ark knows that and accepted that sin but was it wrong for him to wish to hear even just a little bit of affection from them? Just a little bit?(no it isn't). He can only wish to the star 'If only just this once i wish that someone will care for me and that I will be born with a family that loves me for me'

    As the execution was ongoing, nobles and commoners alike can't help but pity him but Ark knows they can't do anything while the crowned prince is the enemy,they can't  stand against him afterall it is a death penalty for them. Ark was lead to a platform where he is to be hanged, tied with a rope around his neck for his head to be hang, Ark began to look around people around him began to whisper, as the executioner was about to released the platform beneath him, Ark smiled for the last time, the last word Ark uttured to them was--

'I'm sorry'

    As death called Ark, the last sight he sees is his brother's eyes widening in shocked and then he began to noticed something different, he began to recall a memory, a memory that was his but not exactly his, Ark is confused why is this memory different from what he remembered, it seems like a different point of view and then suddenly everything clicked for him

   'Ah......i was just a tool'

Arkian Theseus Decroix is a cannon fodder bound to die at the hands of his brothers and his ex-fiancè, the world he lives in was a novel titled 'THE HOURGLASS OF LOVE", his brothers Lucius and Alessio was one of the male leads that falls in love with the baron's son Eros Sael for his kindness, not only them but also the crowned prince Helios, his supposed fiance, Ark's death marked the end of the first season of the novel as it closed the story of the Decroix brothers. As darkness closing in to Ark, light forms again and suddenly-
