The fear of being transparent, being easy to read filled his mind as he really hoped- he still hopes for things he knows will end up leading him to his biggest disappointment yet he hoped, eyes wide open and refusing to blink incase he will miss something.

Something... anything that will give away the hidden truth.

He knows what the older's answer would be.

It must not be hard to answer after all it was crystal clear, their love to the world, they were the ideal couple after all.

He was nobody, not even half as good as his sister to begin with so how dare he hope for a "us" when there is no us from the beginning.

And his long awaited answer came, answer that he had predicted million times, imagined being slapped with and maybe now he will stop hopping and let go of his miserable wishes, whatever he wished and hoped for anyways.

But

The answer was different

Very different and unexpected that the tears he was so badly trying to hold back started descending down his face, his breath hitched and bottom lip trembled.

It was there, the answer he wanted, wished and hoped for so badly. The older didn't even hasitaed for a sec, didn't even break their eye contact.

Sunoo can't read minds and apparently he can't read expressions either, he is always clueless when it comes to Heeseung because currently he is staring at his face, trying to find even a slightest bit of lie.

Something.. anything that will give away that the alpha is lying, picking at him perhaps, mocking him, anything to keep his heart from leaping out of his chest because he wasn't ready for this. He thinks he can never be ready enough because Heeseung's repeats it again.

" I don't love her, not anymore "

He chuckled and the next thing he knows is he is hitting the older's firm chest with his weak punches, his wrist so delicate that if Heeseung will hold them a little stronger they would snap.
