Standing in front of the mirror, a slight frown creasing his forehead as he shuffled through the drawer in search of his tie. His shirt was perfectly pressed, his hair neatly styled, but one crucial piece of his outfit seemed to have disappeared.
"Where is that tie?"
He mumbled to himself, glancing around the room in frustration. From the doorway, Sunoo stood leaning against the frame, watching with an amused smile on his lips. His eyes softened at the sight of Heeseung's furrowed brow, and after a moment, he pushed himself off the doorframe and stepped into the room.
"Looking for this?"
Asked the younger softly, holding up the missing tie in his delicate fingers. Heeseung turned, his expression instantly brightening at the sight of his husband.
"Where did you find it?"
"It was hanging on the chair,"
Sunoo said with a small laugh.
"You were too busy being stressed to notice."
Heeseung let out a chuckle, shaking his head.
"What would I do without you?"
Sunoo moved closer, his scent soothing and familiar with a hint of sweetness to it by the alpha's words and as he took the tie and began looping it around Heeseung's neck. His nimble fingers expertly tied the knot, while Heeseung simply admired him from such close proximity and once the omega was done, he smoothed the fabric against his husband's chest.
"There,"
Sunoo spoke softly, satisfied with his handiwork. His gaze lifted to meet Heeseung's, and with a tender smile, he rose onto his toes, pressing a delicate kiss to his husband's lips. It wasn't firm or hurried; it was gentle, like the whisper of a breeze that barely grazed his lips, leaving behind a quiet warmth.
Heeseung's arms instinctively wrapped around Sunoo's waist, pulling him closer as he kissed back just as sweetly and gently, savoring the soft warmth of Sunoo's lips against his own. When they finally pulled away, their foreheads rested against each other, both of them smiling.
"Thank you," Heeseung murmured, his voice low and affectionate. "I don't know how I'd manage mornings without you."
Sunoo chuckled, his fingers tracing the collar of the older's shirt. "You'd probably still be looking for that tie."
Heeseung laughed, but then his expression softened as he pulled away to look at his sweet beautiful omega.
"I'm going to miss you today. I have a long meeting that's going to keep me away for most of the day."
Sunoo's eyes softened as he fought back a blush, his fingers absentmindedly toying with Heeseung's tie. He nearly messed it up but caught himself just in time, biting his lip to stifle a small squeal when he felt the alpha's hands gently squeeze his waist.
"I- we! We'll miss you too," Sunoo stammered, glancing up shyly. "But Suwon and I will be waiting for you... to come home."
Heeseung smiled softly, brushing the younger man's grown-out hair behind his ears, fully aware of the blush spreading across his face-and the reason behind it.
"What will you do today?"
The older asked, expecting an answer like painting or spending time with Suwon, but instead heard:
"I'm actually going to visit Noona for a while..."
There was hesitation in Sunoo's voice, and his gaze faltered. Heeseung frowned slightly, his tongue pressing against the inside of his cheek as he mulled over the unexpected response. After a long, drawn-out silence, he finally spoke.
